Building communties is what PPNs are all about and building and supporting communties for those needing to be heard is one of our core missions. CavanPPN is proud to be an ally and support today’s Pride March in Cavan. As allies of social inclusion we hope to help our land become a fairer and more just one for all. Cavan Pride

'Love and solidarity' a key focus for Cavan Pride | NorthernSound "There's more strength in love and solidarity than there is in hatred and division."

Last Sunday's post about the Virginia Town Team generated a lot of interest and got me thinking.

One of the roles of a Town Team is to help bring ideas forward and support projects that make a town a better place to live, work and visit.

Earlier this year, funding was secured to support a future community event in Virginia. That raises an interesting question:

If you could create an event for Virginia, what would it be?

We are fortunate to have some fantastic venues and locations available:

• Virginia Show Centre
• The Lawn at the Church of Ireland
• Ramor Arts Centre
• Virginia's pubs and cafés
• Virginia Park Lodge
• St Kyran's Country House
• Lakeside Manor Hotel
• Lough Ramor
• Deerpark Forest
• Local sports clubs and community facilities

Would you like to see:

🎵 Music on the Lawn?

🚣 A Regatta or family event on Lough Ramor?

🌿 A wellness and wellbeing festival?

🎭 Arts, culture and performance events?

🍴 Food and local producer showcases?

🏃 Community sports and outdoor activities?

Or something completely different?

Perhaps the answer isn't one big event but a mixture of events that make use of the wonderful venues and facilities we already have.

The Virginia Town Team AGM takes place on 9th June and there is still time for people to get involved, contribute ideas and help shape future projects in the town.
