🏆 MASTERS SUPERTWIN CHAMPION – FIONN O’CONNELL! 🏆
What a weekend for Fionn O’Connell, who was crowned 2026 Masters Supertwin Champion after an outstanding season! 🏁
Fionn arrived at the final round with a healthy championship lead and wasted no time getting the job done, sealing the title on Saturday before going on to dominate the Supertwin class with three wins from three across the weekend. 🥇🥇🥇
But that was only part of the story…
Fionn also made his Supersport Cup debut this weekend aboard the Daracore R6 — and immediately showed just how much talent he has.
Saturday saw him take an incredible 3rd place in both the Cup and Pro classifications on his Supersport debut.
On Sunday, he stepped it up another level — taking another Cup win and 2nd in the Pro class, before giving absolutely everything in the final race of the weekend.
Fionn crossed the line to take the Cup victory in style, and following a penalty awarded to the race leader, was also promoted to the Supersport Pro race win. And with it, the coveted Leinster Trophy returns to Cork with Fionn!
Supertwin Champion. Supersport Cup race winner. Supersport Pro race winner. Leinster Trophy winner.
What an achievement.
Everyone at West Cork Motorcycle Club is incredibly proud of Fionn and what he has achieved this season. He continues to show exactly why he is one of the most exciting young talents in Irish motorcycle racing.
We can’t wait to see what comes next.
Congratulations, Fionn — 2026 Masters Supertwin Champion! 🏆🍾🏁

What a weekend lads 🙌 over the moon with these results, I couldn’t have done any of this without these great bunch of lads around me, the opportunity’s they put out in front of me are truly amazing. I never thought I’d get the chance to stand on the top step of a supersport pro podium with a supersport cup lap record and being the youngest to ever win the Leinster 100 trophy, it still hasn’t fully registered with me what has happened 😁 thanks to everybody involved and supporting this journey, there is a lot more where that came from😉

That’s the championship wrapped up🙌 what an amazing year we’ve had, many ups and downs but we’ve made the very most of it, I want to thank everybody that have been apart of this journey so far, much more to come🤙 keep an eye out on the supersport tomorrow 😉
Fionn O’Connell wins race 1 at Mondello and is the 2026 Megabikes Supertwin champion!
Michael Gillan pushed hard all season but, just couldn’t match the pace of the R7 mounted O’Connell and proves to be a very worthy championship runner up on the Aprilia RS660.

Another round in the books, one to remember🤙 we made a big improvement this round with everything, it was a near flawless weekend bar an error with tyre choice but we still made the most of it💪
Race 1 - P1 - couldn’t have had a more picture perfect race, starting from pole and leading every lap, we managed to pull over an 11 second lead to 2nd place, we showed proper pace. Consistent 56s
Race 2 - P3 - we made a mistake with the choice thinking it would rain, we were the only people on wets and we struggled a lot, I led the first 3 laps but after that I couldn’t hold the pace as the wets deteriorated, best of a bad situation💪
Race 3 - P1 - we didn’t get a great start but we fought our way through the field and got to the front, after that I pulled the pin and got another 11 second gap to 2nd place✊
I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend considering the trouble with the clutch we had the round previous. I want to say a massive thanks to all my sponsors, supporters and family for keeping this dream alive ❤️ a huge thanks to John Byrne for the help change tyres and getting me out on track 🙏 much appreciated. we have some big news for the next round, keep your eyes peeled for a very special debut 😉
