🥈Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship

What a year we have had, we made a very spontaneous decision in April to cross the border for the first time and compete in Monaghan which was only my 4th closed road event.
We never thought we would be in the position we were in fighting for 3 championships 6 months later and I am so grateful to have been given these opportunities this year.

Unfortunately things did not play out like we had hoped, due to reasons outside of our control we were unable to compete in the Donegal Harvest rally.

As the rally approached we were feeling confident having a decent advantage to our competitors, it would have been a very conservative drive with the main aim being to finish and bag the points to secure the championship.

Unfortunately this is not how things turned out, since we were unable to attend the event we finished 2nd in the National Championship and unfortunately we are no longer eligible for an award in the Border Championship as Donegal would have been our 4th and final round despite being 2nd as the event approached.

We have decided to end out year there and walk away happy with our 1st place in the Top Part West Coast Rally Championship and 2nd in the Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship.

It has been a massive learning curve for us this year from the horrible weather in Kirkistown in February to the amazing night stages in the Isle of Man and we made the most of every minute.

It is now time to get our heads down and plan for next year which I’m sure will be even more spectacular.

None of this would be possible without my mum and all of our amazing sponsors.

A massive thank you to Paul who has sat with me all year from start to finish and never missed a beat we have had some serious laughs and made some incredible memories. A big thank you to Mc Connell Motorsport for making sure we had a flawless car all year that never let us down.

Galway Summer Rally 🥉

We had an enjoyable weekend in Galway talking home 3rd in class 2A.

3 really tricky stages ran 3 times led to a very challenging day in the car. Stage 1 and 9 were cancelled but we still had a good run through the rest of the stages.

Having made some changes to the car over the last month if definitely took some getting used to.

We were very happy to extend our lead in the Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship and the Top Part West Coast Rally Championship but it’s looking like the fight for the borderrallychampionship will go to the Donegal Harvest Rally.

Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship

This weekend we’re heading to Ballinasloe for the Galway Summer Rally.

I’m looking forward to getting back in the hot seat after a long 6 weeks off.

With 3 very demanding stages ahead I’m sure it will be an action packed weekend where we hope to extend our lead in the Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship and the Top Part West Coast Rally Championship

A good result this weekend will definitely put us in a prime position heading to Donegal for the final round in October.
