Sunday mornings 10 to 11:30 for ages 6 to 10s Then using the local Parochial Hall in St. John's Lane.
In the 1960's Athy Boxing Club was one of the busiest clubs in Ireland. Due to unforeseen circumstances the club closed in the early 70's. Then 20 years later a committee decided to review the club and St. Michael's Boxing Club was formed. The club has been apart of Athy community for many years. Best of luck to Cameron Moran, part of the Boxing Ireland Youth & Juniors team who will take on a Scottish select this weekend. The Irish Team fly to Glasgow to compete this Saturday Feb 7th, and includes 15 boxers from counties Antrim, Cork, Donegal, Down, Dublin, Galway, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Sligo, Tyrone and Waterford.
