I am delighted to hear that the remaining funding has finally been secured for the National Child Development Centre in Kildare Town. This has been lying in bricks for so long while waiting lists for vital therapies continue to grow.
I am looking forward to see this project finally completed so that can deliver much needed support to families of children with additional needs. Well done to everyone involved 👏.
A lot of parents have been in contact after I raised the issue of digital devices being required by some schools.
I have received a response from the Minister for Education who has stated there is no requirement for students to have their own laptop or digital device in Junior or Senior Cycle.
Parents shouldn’t be paying hundreds for a device their child simply doesn’t need for school.

A beautiful day celebrating 60 years of restoring hope at .mhuire in Athy today. Thank you to Sr Consilio for her dedication, foresight and love that has helped thousands of people throughout the country. Continued support to Nicola Kelly and all involved with Cuan Mhuire with their much needed and valuable work for so many.
Sport is at the heart of many rural communities across the country, but there’s a huge lack of playing pitches across towns and villages.
We need to see shared sports facilities so all clubs get a chance to play in towns with populations over 5,000. Athy Camogie Club Kildare LGFA
Ireland must stand up for the people of Palestine. The FAI should not allow this game to go ahead, and we should not be forcing players to make this decision.

St Anne’s Special School in The Curragh has been waiting 10 years for a new building.
I raised this with the Taoiseach today, and while it is positive to hear he will raise this with the Minister for Education, we need more than words. We need to see shovels in the ground to deliver this much needed school building.
