A fantastic weekend racing with the Irish Minibike Championship at Nutts Corner Race Circuit !

Saturday saw Cooper C Racing come away with 2nd place & two 3rds which was good going considering the weather was against us .

Today Cooper Colhoun found his groove early and battled hard from the off ... coming home with 3 2nd places putting him 2nd over all in the Junior gear box with a fantastic time of 1.07....

Just another weekend riding his heart out !

Round 2 of the Irish Minibike Championship at Athboy was the lift cooper needed after all the recent bad luck hes been having ..

With the first race seeing Cooper come home with a happy 2nd place an incredible battle between 1st & 2nd position saw Cooper come in with a 1st place in the second and third races.

This places Cooper 1st in the junior gear box standings with it all to play for ... see you all in the next round and a massive well done to all the competitors.
They are all stars 🌟

Well, that race weekend didn't go to plan ....

Day 1 - Saturday at bisopscourt with Team Wood Motorcycle Youth Academy saw Coopers day start with a couple of technical issues that were quickly sorted out .

With the bike running well Cooper C Racing was out and racing when unfortunately an accident occurred which ended the race for Cooper.

Thankfully I can report Cooper walked away with a minor injury to his leg but the bike was not so lucky & will be back in the garage for the foreseeable, but hopefully race ready for the next round .

Day 2 - Race 1 with the Irish Minibike Championship with Cooper on his newly repaired 125cc the start was easy going to break in the new engine but picking up his speed lap and after lap and 4th positions finish in the first & second race.
Cooper was raring to go in the last race of the day. Race 3 started well for Cooper, and unfortunately after 1 lap
Coopers bike decided that was enought for the day and took a break .. we aren't sure of the issue yet as it was loaded up and returned to the garage.

With all the disappointment of the weekend Cooper remains positive and excited for the rest of the season . He's dusting off the leathers and will be ready for the next round in 2 weeks ..

Cooper had a good first round out at Kirkiston Race Track yesterday , enjoying the track, bike and improving his lap time and working on his race craft .

Unfortunately due to a technical problem , Cooper had to retire after one lap of the second race .

Today is a garage day and we'll be ready for the next one ! 🏍🏁
