When working with vulnerable children and adults it is crucial to be able to demonstrate the highest standards in safeguarding, education and qualifications, experience, equine welfare and health and safety. We are delighted to have been accepted as a member organisation of the Equine Assisted Services partnership recognising the highest standards of practice in Equine Assisted Services.

Socialisation and regular turnout are essential for equine welfare, promoting natural behaviours, physical health, mental wellbeing, confidence, emotional regulation, reduced stress, healthy movement, and positive interactions with horses and people.

At EquiSense we pride ourselves in supporting the ongoing CPD training of our staff and volunteers. This year along with the statutory safeguarding, First aid and manual handling training provided by DX2 training solutions: One OT completed the Svitani - Academy of Equine Assisted Services Equine Assisted Therapy Clinical Specialist course; 4 completed the BHS silver challenge awards; 4 are working towards their BHS stage 2 exams; 2 completed the Festina Lente therapeutic coaching program QQI level 6; and 1 completed the Horses Connect Certificate in Coach Training and Assessment. Looking forward to the 2026/2027 CPD achievements.
