kicked off with a showcase from the Masters students from Paris’ esteemed Institut Français de la Mode (), offering the industry a first glimpse at the talent set to shape the future of fashion.

With collections inspired by a fictional girl band Las Gulf GurlZ, to ‘pseudo-bums’, and a group of inmates who call themselves “Les Belles Entravées” (“The Beautiful Shackled”), here’s a look at what went on behind-the-scenes…

“This Saturday, it’s . Of course, we should celebrate women every day but having a dedicated moment like this helps to amplify female voices and their inspiring stories, while highlighting the inequality many women face globally.

So, this week on Service95, we’re doing exactly that. From a brilliant interview with , a pioneering advocate for sexual rights (who’s also heading into space!) to a round-up of groundbreaking Indian women filmmakers, plus a collection of comforting poems curated by poet and activist . We’ve also got a powerful piece on how conflict disproportionately impacts women and girls – a crucial reminder of the urgent action to protect and support those most vulnerable in times of crisis.

Here’s to women, everywhere.”

Next up for the Service95 Book Club…

“Tommy Orange starts with a brief but sharp history lesson in the prologue of There There, dispelling 400 years of slurs and stereotypes against Native people in 10 fiery pages – almost too painful to bear, but essential to start his story.

“If you are expecting beads and fry bread, you’ve come to the wrong book. Orange’s characters – 12 ‘Urban Indians’ living modern lives in American cities – are single parents, filmmakers, recovering addicts, survivors of sexual violence and kids searching for meaning. In short: life in all its complexity.

“The connections between the cast reveal themselves bit by bit as events spiral towards a violent and horrific crescendo in the Big Oakland Powwow, an occasion that holds a desperate significance for each of them. Among the tragedy that is foreshadowed throughout, there is also redemption and humanity. It’s a stunning book.”

“It’s a Tuesday evening, and I’m en route to Dinner For 100’s singles night. Checking my makeup in my phone’s front camera, I spot a girl walking behind me with a similar ‘What the hell am I doing?’ look on her face.
Emboldened by my desperation to avoid showing up alone, I ask if she’s going. Luckily for me, she is, and I’ve secured myself a debrief buddy for the night...”

Taking over this week’s is the pop princess of Brisbane, ! ✨

With her second album ‘Light hit my face like a straight right’ now out in the world, Mallrat is once again proving her gift for finding magic in the mundane. Blending dreamy production with evocative storytelling, she transforms symbols of Australian suburbia – Hills Hoists, boxing, excavators – into something deeply spiritual and new. If you’re a fan of hazy electronica – this is an album for you.
