Please keep putting Jacky on your thoughts as he is having the recovery battle from a very bad mouth infection š
This is Jacky. Heās my neighbourās dog, and for almost three years, Iāve watched him live his life mostly free-roaming around the neighbourhood.
A few weeks ago, I noticed something was seriously wrong. He had lost almost half of his mouth. We still donāt know if itās a tumour, a severe infection, or something else. There were even worms around the wound.
Honestly, it broke my heart.
Yesterday, we finally brought Jacky to the vet. He will stay there for about a week for observation and treatment, and right now, all I can do is hope his little body is strong enough to recover.
And I made myself a promise.
If Jacky gets better, I want to bring him to Doggo Land Bali.
I want his next chapter to be different. I want him to wake up somewhere safe, run freely, play with other dogs, and be surrounded by people who love him.
After everything he has been through, I just want Jacky to know what it feels like to be cared for. ā¤ļøš¾
Please keep Jacky in your thoughts. Weāre really hoping for a second chance for this boy.
Sometimes, we donāt understand why certain decisions have to happen⦠until later.
A week ago, we were told that we have to move out of our rescue house in Tabanan by August 20th.
Honestly, it was unexpected. But at the same time, I had already been preparing Doggo Land for the past two months because I was planning to move the dogs there anyway.
The owner didnāt know about Doggo Land. And I didnāt know we would be asked to leave.
But somehow⦠everything happened at the right time.
If I hadnāt made the decision to build Doggo Land two months ago, I honestly donāt know what I would do right now. I would probably be panicking, trying to find a new place for all the dogs in such a short time.
And thatās when I realized again that sometimes, the decisions we make today are preparing us for things we donāt even know are coming.
I believe this is also part of Godās plan.
The journey to build Doggo Land has been exhausting ā physically, emotionally, and financially. It hasnāt been easy at all.
But maybe this difficult chapter is leading us somewhere better.
On August 12th, weāll be moving the dogs to Doggo Land, with a small Balinese ceremony to mark the beginning of this new chapter. š¤
Please wish us luck.
I pray that everything goes smoothly, that we can move all the dogs safely, and that Doggo Land can truly become the safe, loving home they deserve.
Sometimes, what feels like an ending is actually the beginning of something much better. š¤š¾

Cherryās healing journey has begun. ā¤ļøš¾
When I first found her, she couldnāt even stand on her own. She was too weak to eat or drink, so we gently fed her and even gave her water one spoon at a time.
Day by day, she has surprised us with her strength. She can walk again, and seeing those little steps fills our hearts with hope.
But something still isnāt quite right. She isnāt using one of her legs properly, and weāre worried she may still be in pain or recovering from the trauma of being hit by a motorbike.
Recovery isnāt always a straight line, but every small step is worth celebrating.
Stay tuned for Part 2 as we take Cherry to the vet to find out whatās happening with her leg and what comes next on her healing journey. ā¤ļø
Sometimes I just need to rant.
Not because I have all the answers.
Not because Iām right.
But because Iām human too.
These are just some thoughts after years of rescue, building Doggo Land, making mistakes, learning, and trying my best.
Iād love to hear your thoughts too. šš¾
For the first time, I can close my eyes without fear.
I think this is what being safe feels like. š¾
Sometimes I need this reminder just as much as anyone else.
In a world that celebrates being busy, don't forget to pause. Don't forget to breathe. Don't forget to take care of yourself. And spend your time to what truly matters for you.
I often wish I could help every dog I meet. The truth is, I can't. And accepting that doesn't mean I love them any less.
Love isn't measured by how many lives you save. It's measured by showing up, consistently, with whatever you have. Love is more than a wish or a hopeāit's action. Even the smallest act of kindness can change a life.
If your heart aches for dogs in need, don't let that feeling disappear into "maybe someday." Do something today, no matter how small. Feed one hungry dog. Share an adoption post. Donate when you can. Foster. Adopt. Speak up. Every action matters.
And if your progress feels slow, remember: slow progress is still progress.
This journey isn't always easy. The world won't always understand why our heart breaks for dogs the way it does. But don't let that stop us from being kind.
Keep going. Keep caring. Keep choosing loveānot just as a feeling, but as something we do.
One dog at a time. One act of kindness at a time. One kiss at a time from a furry friend to slow me down and remind me what matters mostš©·š¾
