Over the past few posts, we’ve been sharing the journey behind Malaya and this time, we wanted to reveal even more.

At Design by Bunga, we’re truly grateful to have had the opportunity to build and develop a brand as thoughtful and meaningful as Malaya. From the very beginning, every detail was crafted with intention, allowing culture, nature, and emotion to shape the entire experience.

Malaya was designed as more than a perfume bottle, it was shaped as an object of memory, ritual, and meaning.

The bottle body draws inspiration from the Terenang, a traditional Malay pottery vessel once used to store oils and herbal extracts. Much like fragrance itself, these vessels were created to hold something precious, personal, and lasting.

Our exploration began with clay, a material deeply rooted in Malay craft traditions. From there, the form evolved through soft architectural arches, ornamental rhythms, and the quiet warmth found in traditional Malay craftsmanship. Every curve was designed to feel fluid, grounded, and timeless.

very detail was designed to translate culture, nature, and emotion into form.

We’re so proud to work with and bring this vision to life. ✨

You may have already caught glimpses of Malaya through the moodboards shared along the way and today, the full vision finally comes to life.
Introducing the complete branding for Malaya.

Inspired by the region’s natural beauty, biodiversity, and cultural richness, Malaya crafts fragrances that feel both intimate and timeless scents that hold memory, emotion, and meaning.

Every fragrance is developed in-house with thoughtful craftsmanship, refined storytelling, and carefully selected ingredients. With sustainability at its core, the brand is committed to responsible sourcing and ethical production, ensuring each creation reflects a genuine respect for nature.

More than just a fragrance brand, Malaya is a sensory experience where culture, nature, and emotion are translated into every detail.

If you’ve been following along, you’ve probably seen bits of Meokda coming to life through its curves, mirrored shapes, and that signature mix of silver and deep red 👀❤️

Here’s the simple idea behind it:
Meokda is all about balance. Not too soft, not too serious just calm and put together. The logo may look simple, but it’s designed to feel smooth and connected, like everything flows naturally.

Even the mascot follows the same direction, so everything feels consistent and connected✨

Dive into the branding we’ve crafted for Meokda, a sensory driven beauty and wellness brand rooted in Korean culture. Blending indulgent, food inspired skincare with ingestible supplements, Meokda embraces a holistic approach to skin health transforming everyday routines into sensorial rituals. With lush textures, captivating scents, and powerful formulations, every product is designed to deliver real results while making the experience feel joyful and indulgent.

Through this branding project, we shaped a visual direction that captures Meokda’s playful yet clinically backed personality. Lately I’ve been saving palettes more than outfits.
Because honestly?
The right colors can carry the whole mood before the design even speaks.
