Elevation: 18,023 feet (4,884 meters)
Location: Sudirman Range ( Local name Ndungu-Ndungu ) Papua (formerly
Irian Jaya), Indonesia
Peak name : Carstensz Pyramid or Nemangkawi ( local name )
Coordinates: S 04°04.733 E 137°09.572
First Ascent: First ascent by Heinrich Harrer, Russell Kippax, and
Albert Huizenga, February 13, 1962.
Level : Moderate to challenge
Uniqueness : One of the world's seven summit, Tropical rain forest,
Giant limestone
Best Climbing Season : February - November

This is an update to climb the carstensz:
Due to situations and conditions, The Indonesian government still forbids climbing the carstensz pyramid through trekking iIaga and Sugapa, Except using the helicopter flight directly to the Base Camp or Yellow Valley.

ITINERARY
1. TIMIKA, PAPUA, INDONESIA
- Meet and Greet at Timika International airport.
- Transfer to the hotel in Timika city.
- Have dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
2. TIMIKA – YELLOW VALLEY
- On early morning if weather is good flight to the Yellow Valley.
- Acclimatization.
3. YELLOW VALLEY
Acclimatization while light trekking to the Hill of East Carstensz
4. YELLOW VALLEY
Rock climbing practice at the wall of Carstensz pyramid
5. SUMMIT DAY
Wake up at midnight and prepare for the summit attempt. There will be hot drinks and light meals. At 2 am we start climbing to the summit. It will take approximately 9 - 10 hours to the summit and back to base camp
6. YELLOW VALLEY – TIMIKA
Flight back to Timika
7. TIMIKA – OTHER DESTINATIONS
Flight out from Timika end of Expedition
8. EXTRA DAY
You must have 3 extra days in case the weather situation or other things happen.

1. All travel permit from indonesia government (Central and local government, Environmental tax, Indonesian police )
2. Airport transfer at Timika in and out
3. Two nights hotel (twin share) at Timika
4. Welcome dinner
5. Helicopter flight from Timika to Base Camp and return

7. Group camping equipment (Sleeping tents, dining tents, table, chairs, safety and communications gear, cooking stove, fuel, and cutlery)
