Floating Paradise
Floating Paradise is for the relaxed adventurer. We promote off the grid living in the heart of nature. Welcome to A Floating Paradise @ Lagoon Lele.
Our little guesthouse is made of wood, suspended on top of the sea. Floating Paradise is simple, yet comfy; essentially your bridge to nature. Enjoy the secluded simplicity of Island Paradise. Here at the Floating Paradise, we have transported the comfort of your own home to a tropical location, in the heart of nature. Dear Travelers,
We would like to issue an important travel warning regarding fraudulent websites selling fast boat tickets to KarimunJawa island. Scammers are creating fake booking platforms that closely resemble legitimate operators, tricking travelers into paying for tickets that do not exist.
Please be aware of the following:
- Fake websites often use similar names, logos, and layouts to official fast boat companies.
- They may advertise unusually low prices or urgent limited-time offers.
- Payments made through these sites are not secure and tickets are never issued.
To protect yourself:
- Always book fast boat tickets through official company websites or trusted travel agents.
- Verify the website address carefully before making any payment.
- Avoid clicking on links from unsolicited emails or social media ads.
- If in doubt, contact the operator directly to confirm booking details.
Your safety and peace of mind are our priority. Please remain vigilant and share this reminder with fellow travelers.
Safe journeys Fellas,

“A moment from a dharma sharing at Floating last summer”
Hi, I’m Astrid and Floating Paradise is my special place.
It’s where I uncovered my inner peace. Not by escaping life, but by meeting it in its simplest form.
Here, days are shaped by waxing and waning tides, moon cycles, cloud gazing, bird spotting, and the quiet intelligence of nature. Being exposed to these rhythms is what allows me to connect deeply with myself, and what I love sharing with others.
These days, from time to time I come to Floating to sit, to listen, to share stories, and to talk about slow and conscious living.
Most often, you’ll find me here guiding yoga and sharing dharma, not as something separate from life, but as something woven into it.
I’m endlessly grateful for the like-minded people who feel drawn to Floating, and who come with openness, curiosity, and respect. You’re what makes this place truly special.
Floating is simple. If that speaks to you, you’ll understand it immediately 🌿

At Floating, our roof doesn’t last forever, and that’s intentional.
Every couple of years, we replace what’s known on the island as ‘*welit*’: layers of natural material that shelter us from sun and rain, salt air and storms. In a conventional sense, this might be seen as inefficiency. But for us, it’s a commitment.
Natural materials degrade. They age, soften, break down, and return to the earth. Just like bodies. Just like forests. Just like us.
Rather than fighting this process with plastic, chemicals, or “permanent” solutions that linger long after their usefulness, we choose to work *with* impermanence. We accept that maintenance is part of stewardship, not failure.
Replacing the roof is not just a repair job, it’s a reminder that sustainability isn’t about creating things that never change, but about tending, listening, and responding over time.
In a world obsessed with durability at all costs, we’re practicing something quieter:
🌿 choosing materials that can return home
🌿 allowing degradation as a natural part of life
🌿 taking responsibility for what we build, again and again
This is how we stay in relationship with this place: the sea, the mangroves, the weather, and the passage of time, all here at Floating Paradise.
Nothing here is meant to last forever.
But everything here is meant to belong.

I’d like to take this moment to introduce Tono. He’s the Sea King, of Floating at least. One of Karimunjawa’s conservationists cadets, and passionate about the future health of not just his own community, but of our planet 🌏 💚💙
Here he is with his new best friend, Godzilla 🦖🤗 I’ve heard you can spend an entire lifetime exploring Indonesia, and we’re here for it.
Blessed with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, we’re excited about discovering waterfalls, volcanoes and so much more 🏕️✨
For now, we’d love to take you on adventures around the island. As you know, Floating is perfect for the relaxed adventurer, so if you’d like to arrive Jurassic Park style, we’ve got you, otherwise we can still bring you with our boat across the bay 🚤🌿🌙
Not only that, we offer land tours, and with Godzilla we can comfortably bring you to all of the islands most stunning locations, whether the access is muddy, or steep or not! 🏝️
Come and make memories with us ☺️

Help us keep the magic alive in Karimunjawa!
We have to be honest, it feels like the middle of the low season here, when normally in April we would be feeling the post-Easter, leading up to Eid-al-Fitr buzz of tourists.
We miss all of you guys here! We know you can't be here in person right now; it's very strange times we're all in.
We'd really appreciate if you'd take a look at this initiative a group of us on the island have just launched... to help locals on the island with their basic needs.
Sending love and light to you all # # #
