Pura Gunung Raung merupakan salah satu pura yang termasuk dalam Pura Kahyangan Jagat yang berada di Bali. Selain begitu disucikan, pura ini juga kerap menarik banyak wisatawan yang berkunjung ke daerah Gianyar khususnya. Salah satu keunikannya ialah bahwa pura ini menghadap ke arah Timur, bisa dikatakan diluar kelazimannya sebuah pura yang biasanya menghadap ke arah Barat. Selain itu, keunikan lainnya yakni pura ini memiliki 4 pintu.

4 pintu itu berada di sekeliling penjuru mata angin: Timur, Utara dan Selatan yang pintunya berbentuk Cendi Bentar. Sedangkan pintu di Barat hanya berupa pintu kecil saja. Makna dari keempat pintu tersebut ialah pemikiran baik dan mulia biasanya muncul dari keempat penjuru mata angin.

Manggis is a small region in East Bali about an hour drive from Denpasar Airport. Candidasa is the most popular destination in the East of Bali and offers a classy alternative to the hussle and bussle of the Southern areas. The original development of the 70's centered around the lagoon and fishing village, gradually extending along the beach in both directions in the classic style of Bali beach developments.

The name Candidasa came from this temple. Candi means temple, and dasa means ten. So Candidasa means 10 temples. And so it is indeed, strolling through the 8 pavilions which form the museum’s gallery.The first gallery introduces to Indonesian artist such as Ida Bagus Nyoman Rai and its graphic, descriptive yet subtly poetic work, the wild, colourful often insightful pictorial expressions of Nyoman Gurnasa or the precise work of Made Wianta.
