We design for sustainability. Our raw materials form the heart of our craft.

In addition to fabric offcuts from garment makers, we also incorporate unconventional materials such as fabric samples from upholstery stores, jute sacks from coffee breweries, and vinyl from event banners. We explore how best to celebrate the inherent qualities of each material, pushing their aesthetic and functional properties through rigorous experimentation and thoughtful composition. With eac

Oran shoulder in Rouge.

Our artisanal work, many times is about seeing the potential of what’s left behind. The remnants, the rejects, the unfinished. We hope to rediscover more of their potential, by rethinking, and redesigning how their values can be multiplied.

Sika in reworked chenille.

It’s easier to reassemble 2 pieces of small chenille offcuts into a single bigger piece and to retouch the colour to maximise its potential. It feels magical!

Wear it as an odd shape oversized clutch or sling it.

Only 2 are available.

Oana in jersey chenille.

Other people’s gardens may look greener, groomed perfectly. But we’re thankful for our unkempt garden. From it, we learn to treasure what we have been given.

Grey Rainbow Oana.

We reworked the remainder of a customed jersey textile for cushion covers to reveal the inner layers. The curly effect will grow softer as you wear it often.

Elm clutch in Desert Oasis, or meadow.

As usual, when we customise for you, there are bound to be small offcuts that can still be celebrated.

We have some new pouches and clutches on the webshop perfect for small holiday gifts that mean big. ✨

Thanks, and .justine for adding that perfect small touch!

Preserving Indonesian batik offcuts through an artwork that will last, hopefully for generations to come.

A WIP tapestry inspired by one of the many islands of Indonesia, which I hope to visit soon! Some of you may recognise the shape.

We intentionally keep aside certain fabrics with unique patterns and shape like batik and shibori for special projects. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that will stay as a WIP tapestry until it’s time to reveal its inner beauty. 🗓️

The textile of rectangular.

Rectangular can be seen as rigid but putting them together create a sense of harmony too. In this textile, the varied rectangle sizes are stacked and the layering of colours creates the illusion of waves and depth.

Bay pillows. 🛋️

Experience texture therapy with our faux chenille cushions.☺️ They wear well and the texture becomes softer and more revealing over time. Come see and touch them at .id. See you this weekend!

As the year is winding down, we hope to meet you again at Urban Forest Cipete with a fresh collection of one-off textiles for the holiday season.

If you can’t come to the event, feel free to call or dm us to adopt or customise a textile. If you must meet me personally, give me a heads-up ya! 😀

Sandy beige Muri clutches.

1 to 2 small samples with lesser layers are usually made for a customised tapestry. The pattern that’s not chosen to be made into the actual size tapestry will eventually be made into interior furnishings or fashion accessories, like these new, more spacious, Muri clutch-shoulder bags. ☺️

The “putri malu” textile.

When the jersey curls up after being cut, it reminds me of the Mimosa, also called shame plant or putri malu, when you touch the leaves, they fold inward to protect themselves. It’s one of those lovely surprises when we play with worn-out jersey t-shirts and post-production offcuts.
