AKIARIM Reports Theft Incident During Live Show, Tightens Security

Idol group AKIARIM has revealed that a theft occurred during one of their recent live events. According to an official announcement made by the group’s management, a member’s personal belongings—worth around ¥10,000—went missing from the dressing room during the performance.

After discovering the item was gone, the group quickly reported the incident to the police the next day. Management and the affected member visited the police station to file a report and attempt to gather evidence. Although officers tried to collect fingerprints near the scene, no useful prints were found.

In response, the group is now taking stronger steps to prevent similar issues in the future. From now on, valuables will be handled directly by staff members, and any suspicious activity will be immediately reported to authorities—even if a live event is still in progress.

While they didn’t share details about which member was involved or where the event took place, the group stressed the importance of protecting their performers and fans. Management also noted that the new measures might cause minor inconvenience but are necessary to ensure safety.

This unexpected incident has raised concerns about backstage security at live idol events, reminding fans and organizers alike that safety must always come first.

Wagamama Rakia to End Activities with Final Live Show on July 9

Idol group Wagamama Rakia has announced that they will close their doors after one last performance. Their final solo concert will take place on July 9, 2025, at Zepp Haneda in Tokyo.

In a statement released on April 19, the four members—Minami Hoshikuma, Rin Kaine, L, and MIRI—explained that, after many heartfelt discussions about their individual futures, they decided it was time to bring the group’s journey to a close. They expressed deep gratitude to fans and everyone who supported them since their debut.

“This may seem sudden, but it’s not a negative choice,” the members shared. “We’ve always aimed for our very best in Wagamama Rakia, but we feel we’ve reached the limits of what we can achieve together under the current setup. Rather than continue half-heartedly, we want to give our all in the time we have left and use it as a bridge to our next chapters.”

Despite the upcoming farewell, the members promise that their bond remains unshaken. They’ve assured fans that they will continue to cheer each other on even after the final curtain falls.

Teen Fashion Magazine Nicola Debuts Idol Duo “RicoRiri”

Teen fashion magazine nicola is expanding into the music world with its first-ever idol unit, RicoRiri, starring two of its popular “Nicomo” models: 15-year-old Riko Sakihama and 14-year-old Riri Nakase. As childhood friends, they’re taking the stage together for the very first time.

Their debut release is a double A-side single, “Pure pop / Ring☆Ring☆Ring,” set to launch on June 18, 2025. The lead track, “Pure pop,” features bright synth melodies and an uplifting message about celebrating your own style. Its counterpart, “Ring☆Ring☆Ring,” brings playful rhythms and showcases the duo’s youthful energy.

Both songs were crafted by respected J-pop producers Masafumi Okamoto and okano_skywalker, known for blending catchy hooks with polished production. On April 21, 2025, voice actor idol unit i☆Ris unveiled the official music video for their latest single, “ViVa☆Idol!” The video features dynamic choreography, vivid visuals, and the group’s signature upbeat style.

“ViVa☆Idol!” serves as the lead track for i☆Ris’s forthcoming fifth album, ViVa i☆DOL, which will be available on April 30, 2025. Crafted by Ryuuki Koike of GENIC and featuring a piano performance from Suzuki Hayasaki of Boku wa Mitita Aozora, the song combines celebratory lyrics with an energetic arrangement.

This release features the footage from the Tokyo Dome performance held on November 9th as part of their nationwide tour, "2nd TOUR 2022 'As you know?'" that took place from September to November last year. This particular concert was significant as it also served as Captain Yuuka Sugai's graduation ceremony from the group. The release comes in two versions: a regular edition and a limited edition.
