Model AI cybersecurity terbaru dari Anthropic, Claude Mythos Preview, dilaporkan telah diakses oleh sekelompok kecil pengguna tanpa izin, menurut laporan Bloomberg.
Model ini sebelumnya hanya tersedia secara terbatas melalui inisiatif Project Glasswing untuk sejumlah perusahaan teknologi besar seperti Nvidia, Google, Amazon Web Services, Apple, dan Microsoft, mengingat kemampuannya yang sangat sensitif.
Menurut Anthropic, model ini mampu mengidentifikasi dan mengeksploitasi celah keamanan di hampir seluruh sistem operasi dan browser utama jika diarahkan oleh pengguna, sehingga berpotensi menjadi alat serangan siber yang serius.
Akses ilegal tersebut diduga terjadi melalui lingkungan vendor pihak ketiga, dengan memanfaatkan kombinasi akses internal dan teknik penelusuran digital yang umum digunakan. Kelompok ini bahkan dilaporkan berhasil menemukan lokasi model dengan menebak pola dari model Anthropic lainnya.
Hingga saat ini, Anthropic menyatakan masih melakukan investigasi dan belum menemukan bukti bahwa insiden ini berdampak pada sistem internal mereka atau meluas di luar lingkungan vendor.
Insiden ini kembali menyoroti risiko besar dalam pengembangan AI tingkat lanjut, terutama ketika teknologi dengan potensi tinggi jatuh ke pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab.
