One Blue Ocean

“The sun pierced through the clouds cloaking the mountain peaks, its golden beams cutting through the water's surface, illuminating the reef below. This was what I had been waiting for.

A wave approached, its wall starting to form with quiet power. I ducked under, camera angled upwards, poised for the magic. As the wave reached its peak and broke over the reef, I pressed the shutter repeatedly, capturing the fleeting collision of light and water.

This is the essence of the Way of Water ~ a magic all its own, where light dances with motion, creating colors that seem born of imagination. Through my lens, I've tried to refine these moments. This particular frame comes from the depths beneath a wave on one of Indonesia's 17,000 islands, where water tells its endless stories.

Stories from the surf, an area I'm excited to explore further across The Indo ~ Pacific over the next six months.”
