A Rhythm That Cannot Be Sung, Yet Faintly Felt Within the Body (slide 1)
This piece recalls the time when Indonesians were prohibited from singing their national songs during the Japanese occupation. Here, the rhythm of Indonesia Raya—painted as numerical notation—persists as a heartbeat that cannot be erased. On the back, a blurred signboard stands upright, marking resilience even in silence.
