Travelling with a toddler is still a mix of magic and chaos, but staying somewhere like this honestly makes it so much easier.

There are still the no-sleep moments, the change in routine, and the “what are we doing?” parts, but watching her so happy in a place like this makes it all worth it.

I still can’t decide whether I want to book another trip straight away or go home for a rest, but I do know these are the moments we’ll remember.

I’m the luckiest guy alive, truly, but for a little while now I couldn’t shake the idea that something was still missing…

It’s crazy how the stars align like that because a few weeks ago we got back in touch with who are no strangers to myself.

Back in 2019 I joined .groves and a handful of other amazing travellers on where, after a week of exploring the beautiful landscapes of Lombok, we gathered in a local rural village to help rebuild 2 schools that had previously been destroyed in a cluster of extreme earthquakes the year prior.

The impact of those classrooms was insane, as it allowed hundreds of kids to stay in school and continue on with an education that puts them on the path to success. I remember all their excited faces the day they re-opened. Nothing beats it.

Which is why it only feels right that I’m back with . They’ve invited us back over to Lombok to learn how they’ve evolved their mission, now building all their schools out of earthquake resistant, recycled plastic blocks, and offering education programs in the areas that matter most.

We’re so keen to get over there, and we’re especially looking forward to showing Ava how important it is to contribute to something larger than herself and give back where it’s needed.

Happy 5th wedding anniversary to my beautiful wife, Irena.

I’m sharing this video again today not just to honour you and the incredible wife and mother you are to Ava, but also so I can come back to these words each year and remind myself of the promises I made to you.

No matter how many years pass since our wedding day, the vows I spoke then mean even more to me now. If anything, time has only made them stronger.

You are the heart of our family, and I’m so grateful I get to do this life with you.

Having Ava cracked me wide open in the best way. She’s taught me more about who I am than any challenge, business win, or adventure ever has. The hard moments come, sure — but the lessons on the other side are the ones you’ll never want to miss.
If I could’ve met my wife earlier and had more years with my girls, I’d take that every single day. Time is the only thing we don’t get back… and these two changed what I want to spend mine on.
