Some children think carrots, raddish, and sweet potatoes are fruits. It is rather hard to help them comprehend the meaning of 'grow in the ground', but this toy really helps.

Carol Read (2020) suggests that games develop all language skills as well as general learning, thinking, and social skills.

Just another toy 😂

This adjustable board is a great aid for teaching children at level 3 and 4.

At level 3 they are expected to be able to tell about time, days, date, months and activities. At level 4 they are expected to be able to describe the weather and season in present and past time.

Another new toy 😂

We chose this toy as an aid for teaching level 2 and 4.

At level 2, students are required to master 10 nouns representing public places, mostly names of places the visit daily containing only one word, and 4 prepositions (behind, between, next to, in front of).

At level 4, students are required to master 10 nouns, which they less frequently visit, 5 prepositions with higher degree of abstraction (below, above, near, far, opposite), and 5 imperatives related to direction (go straight ahead, stop, start, turn right, turn left).

We've got a new toy. 😂

This toy would make a great teaching aid for our level 2 and level 4 students as it contains variety of clothes with variety of patterns and colour. This would provide learners with rich sensory experience as well as cognitive engagement as they mix or match the clothes for each bear or even for the whole bear family.

Implementing theories of teaching to enlighten learners can sometimes be as difficult as turning an apple into a pear. Learning from the stories of the experienced professionals would be fruitful for anyone aiming for vast improvement. Just remember that knowledge without passion is ignorance, while passion without knowledge is a crime.

These are the works of our students. Some of them expressed themselves through sentences. Some others drew pictures to demonstrate their comprehension. A few of them were crazy enough to draw an apocalypse house. 😔

When children pick up new words, they might be able to recognise a vocabulary item without knowing its exact meaning. Being able to recognise does not mean being able to remember or use in conversation without any deliberate practice and use (Pinter, 2017). This kind of instrument might just facilitate both stages of vocabulary learning.

Mudah saja, kita tahu mainan ini menyuburkan interaksi di kelas dan saat itu guru harus tahu bagaimana cara memanfaatkannya untuk memberi masukan (input), ataupun umpan balik untuk perbaikan (corrective feedback).
