In reality, Thecacera pacifica spends its nights cruising volcanic sand and hunting bryozoans - tiny colonial animals that most divers never even notice.
Despite becoming one of the worldâs most famous nudibranchs, it rarely grows beyond 3cm.
Bright yellow. Covered in black spots. Impossible to ignore.

Ultraviolet light doesnât create these colors. It exposes the ones we were never meant to see. Underwater photography with ultraviolet light is an endless source of art and creativity. You canât even imagine what it looks like in large format.
Some waves are meant to be surfed.

Tambja morosa (The gloomy tambja)
Looks like the ocean designed its own gothic dragon slug.
Velvet blue body, black horns, silent movement through volcanic sand. Somehow cute. Somehow terrifying.
