TEN YEARS OF LES.BASICS, ROOTED RIGHT HERE. ✴︎

A look back at our 10-year celebration at the Bali store.

A day that felt less like an event and so much more like a homecoming.

We started the morning with a traditional Balinese ceremony, taking a moment to ground ourselves, express deep gratitude, and ask for blessings from the island that has given this brand so much life and inspiration.

Then, the doors opened to our community. Seeing the store fill up, watching you see and feel the collection in person, and honestly, just seeing so many of you wearing your own Les.Basics pieces to the event is something we will never quite have the words for.

To keep things close to home, we brought in a local mie goreng gerobak to keep everyone fed, and the incredibly talented artisans joined us live.

For everyone who took home a piece of the 10-years collection, they created a personalized hand-beaded heart right in front of you. a small, tangible token of our thank you to the community that built us.

A DECADE UNDER THE SUN ✺

For this shoot, we wanted to capture the feeling behind our 10 year collection, warm, nostalgic, a little playful, and rooted in the memories that shaped LES.BASICS.

The palm trees, the sun, the faded prints, the hand-beaded details, the white denim, the little symbols hidden through the pieces, everything was made to feel like a memory you can wear.

This collection is a love letter to the past 10 years, to the craft, to the people behind the pieces, and to everyone who has been part of the story with us.

Denim has always been part of our DNA.
Not just as a product, but in the way we design, built to be worn often, lived in, softened over time, and kept for years.

10 years later, it still starts with denim.

YELLOW HAS A WAY OF CHANGING THE ENERGY OF EVERYTHING.

That’s what Butter did to this set. It brought warmth, softness, and a kind of joy that still feels easy to wear. Not just for one moment, not just for one version of you. This is the kind of set you can wear for movement, for travel, for a slow morning, for coffee after, or just as part of your everyday wardrobe. Together it feels sporty and fresh. Broken apart, each piece keeps living in its own way.

This one also means a lot because it reflects the kind of creative direction I want to keep building for LES.BASICS thoughtful, wearable, but with a real point of view. Working on this vision with Mel as creative director and muse brought that to life in such a strong way. It feels soft, sporty, a little nostalgic, and still very grounded in who we are.

Our heart sizing system came from wanting people to focus less on a number and more on how they actually feel in the piece.

Sizing can get in people’s heads very quickly. We wanted to create something that feels a bit softer, a bit more intuitive, and more connected to the experience of wearing the clothes. The goal was never to remove clarity, but to shift the focus back to comfort, fit, and feeling good in your body.

Because at the end of the day, the number matters a lot less than how you feel once it’s on.

We’ve never been interested in making clothes just for one moment. We care more about the pieces people keep, repeat, and make their own over time. The ones that work in real life, across different moods, different seasons, different versions of yourself. That’s always been the point for us.

Probably one of the most loved pieces we’ve made. Not because it’s complicated, because it’s not.

The shape does the work. The fabric sits right. It falls the way you want it to. Easy with denim, under a jacket, over swim, worn on repeat.

Some pieces don’t need reinventing. They just need to be done properly.
