ZXC Studio

Sited across from Bali Festival Park's main entrance, our pavilion for .curated 2025 formed a radial enclosure open to the sky at its centre. Visitors were invited along it's peripheral walls to explore our partner CVP's range of handcrafted furniture, or to pause and take in the mystic charm of the park from an elevated vantage point.

The indoor seating area shares it's space with the production bakery. A long counter displaying freshly baked bread and pastries creates a soft divide between the guests and the working area.

The second location for Barō Bakery, sited in an old villa facing the road to Pererenan beach. An open terrace wraps around the existing building, creating an inviting presence to the street

Elements such as partitions and benches echo the motif of the pergola ceiling. Gaps between the cream painted slatted boards reveal the muted blue of the structural steel.

An event space for .pererenan connects to the main restaurant through a water feature wall of natural stone.
The seating area is defined by an Open kitchen with a fire pit and wood fired oven at one end, and a service bar with a hidden wine cellar at the other.

The larger structure faces South, where a small terrace surrounds the Blackboard tree. The living room has a double height open ceiling with windows placed to offer views of the tree climbing from the base of its trunk to its canopy. The Kitchen and Dining areas extend back where a window looks out to the third garden at the North.

On the upper floor, a pivoting window connects the bedroom to the living space through the double height void. The ensuite faces the North garden with a vanity spanning the window, looking to the branches of the mango tree.

The two structures are align in parallel, separated by a covered walkway in between them. They were staggered to make room for a blackboard tree at the front and a mango tree at the rear. The residual space from this arrangement forms a series of gardens around the site.

A private house comprised of two gable roof structures. The smaller structure is single storey with a small study facing south to the swimming pool in the central garden. The ensuite is positioned in the centre, and the bedroom looks out a smaller garden to the North.
