Pro Progressione
Pro Progressione is a Budapest-based artistic hub in the field of culture
Pro Progressione is a Budapest-based artistic hub that connects people, professions and ambitions by designing international collaborations in the field of culture. From this combination, creative ideas emerge - artists, cultural activists, scientists and experts of various fields meet and give cutting-edge answers for the questions of our age. We focus our capacities on the fields where we aim to have a positive long-term impact, thus Pro Progressione is built up on four main pillars, PP Social, PP Cult, PP Arts and PP Sound. We are active in the field of socially engaged arts, cultural & natural heritage interpretation, music as tradition and the productions of unique performances. Our innovative team disposes of a large scale of professional competences and creativity, each of our members are personally engaged with arts and culture. Pro Progressione has been implementing numerous international projects supported by the European Commission. We believe in interdisciplinary creation, in a mutual exchange between disciplines, art forms and actors of social and artistic fields. Our overall objective is to create an international network of artists, institutions and audiences by helping the communities to find their path towards arts. Pro Progressione is active in a wide range of cultural associations and programmes: Culture Action Europe, IETM, MitOst, Voices of Culture, Association of Independent Performing Arts in Hungary.

💡 Three days in Novi Sad, bringing the Intracomp Transformations consortium together to listen, create and plan for the year ahead.
The General Assembly brought together workshops, discussions and creative exercises around intercultural competence, arts education, policy, mentoring and the CultureComp framework.
We’re happy to be part of this international collaboration and to continue exploring how creating together can help us understand and work across cultures.

Three days in Novi Sad have given us time to listen, create, and plan together. As the Intracomp Transformations General Assembly closes today, we’re carrying forward the questions and ideas shared across the consortium.
We reviewed our progress and the year ahead, gathered feedback on the CultureComp framework, and explored how mentoring, the CultureComp Academy, and RhizoVerse can bring more people into the conversation. Workshops on policy, arts education in formal and non-formal settings, and artistic attribution gave us space to learn from one another’s perspectives.
From a shared music exercise to the workshop tables, these days reflected a central question for INTRACOMP: how can creating together help us understand and work across cultures?
Thank you to our Novi Sad host Kulturanova, our coordinator Nord universitet, and all our partners at University of Auckland - Waipapa Taumata Rau, Universität Hildesheim, University of Verona, Centro Studi Interculturali UniVr, University of Jyväskylä - Jyväskylän yliopisto, In Place of War, European Network of Cultural Centres, Divadlo bez domova, Sutta Scupa, Institute of Papua New Guinea Studies (IPNGS), Pro Progressione, LATRA

✨ Múlt csütörtökön a Miskolci Egyetem Könyvtárában tartotuk meg a Lights On Rural Touring – a Sparse PLUS projekt zárókonferenciáját, amely a vidéki előadóművészet lehetőségeiről, nemzetközi együttműködésekről, közösségépítésről és a projekt elmúlt éveinek tapasztalatairól szólt.
A szakmai programot az All In Circus produkciója színesítette, amely egy különleges művészeti élménnyel kapcsolta össze a nap témáit.

📖 Some dreams really do come true!
📖 That’s exactly what happened to us when, after several months of brainstorming and planning together, *The Book of Budapest* was finally completed – based on the methodology of Andy Field and Beckie Darlington – with the collaboration of nearly a hundred pupils and their teachers from the Hungarian-Ukrainian Bilingual School in Budapest!

🌿 Art, nature and shared reflection: the fourth year of the Big Green has begun!
Last week, we joined our project partners in Gorzanów, Poland, for a retreat officially opening the fourth year of the Big Green, dedicated to Ecosystem. With Gorzanów Palace as our base, we explored connections between culture and nature through the surrounding landscapes, local stories and creative communities.
The programme brought together geological walks, an artistic exploration of peatlands, visits to local artists’ studios and a workshop on inclusive communication. Alongside our discussions, there was time for shared meals, informal encounters and an intergenerational evening of dance.
These shared experiences offered a starting point for the year ahead: how are landscapes, water, local knowledge, art and community life connected?
💚 A heartfelt thank you to our hosts, the Art Transparent team, for their thoughtful organisation, warm hospitality and rich programme! Thank you also to all our partners for the conversations and time together. We look forward to continuing our shared work!

🌿 Művészet, természet és közös gondolkodás: elindult a the Big Green negyedik éve!
Múlt héten a lengyelországi Gorzanówban találkoztunk projektpartnereinkkel, hogy közösen megnyissuk a the Big Green negyedik, Ecosystem tematikájú évét.

⛪️Two artists were selected for the MON-ART residency at Tihany Benedictine Abbey ( Tihanyi apátság ) to explore the connections between contemporary art, Benedictine heritage and the natural landscape of Lake Balaton. Through collaboration with the monastic and local communities, they will develop artistic projects that encourage shared creation, ecological awareness and new ways of connecting with the area’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
⛪️Let's meet now one of the artists!

⛪️Edoardo Bosi, also known as , is an Italian artist, musician and sound designer based in Milan. Born in the UK and raised in Uganda, his practice moves between music, sound recording, sound design and experimental approaches to listening. His work explores relationships between sound, place, memory and human experience/ perception, often combining field recordings with composed and improvised music. He studied Music Production and Sound Engineering in Berlin before completing a Master’s degree in Music Publishing in Milan. His work spans recorded music, live performance and site-responsive sound projects.
⛪️“I’m interested in discovering Tihany by listening rather than simply looking at it. The residency gives me the time to become attentive to the small sounds, silences, voices and rhythms that make a place what it is, and to understand how those sounds change through the people who inhabit it.”
