SLOW DOWN - Note to myself

Watching these cuties take their time to cross the street brought smiles, giggles, wonder and joy on our faces. They made me pause and reflect.
Why am I always rushing around? When will I slow down and enjoy the roses?
A great reminder to be more present during my afternoon walk on a windy afternoon. 😊

A New Beginning

As we are ending this year, I have been reflecting on how might I conclude the end of year. I feel grateful and incredibly blessed to have reached a state of total, complete and unconditional acceptance to life as it unfolds with a fierceness very new to me.
I notice a greater sense of calm and peace each moment as it unfolds.
I might have been resisting life in the past which was masked as a high sense of entitlement, injustice, pride and morality. This was disallowing me to experience the bliss that is our innate nature. The last two years have been an enormous amount of work towards my transformation.
I feel immensely grateful to my community, a group of fellow seekers on the path that have supported me on this journey. I must acknowledge my immediate family for being loving and caring towards me without judgement. You shower me with love very unknown to me for which I am tremendously grateful and appreciative. Thank you to each one.
Each breath is an opportunity for a new beginning. I humbly strive to be in radical acceptance of each moment as it is unfolding with a spirit of acceptance.
I must acknowledge my clients who have been a huge part of my transformative journey. We support each other growing in magical ways and create a circular impact leaving a conscious imprint on this planet.

Migratory Birds!

I had immense joy watching flamingoes at a bio reserve park yesterday. They were chattering away loudly enjoying themselves over nice meals. It seems to me that they too were celebrating the holidays with the rest of the world 🤩😂
They breed in one place, hatch in another, look after their little ones whilst they lose their pink color feeding their chicks. They fly back to their original habitat and the little ones are supervised in a daycare crèche by unrelated adults whilst the parents go hunting for good.
It struck me how these birds live cohesively fostering love, care, sacrifice and a huge leap of faith that they exuberate. There is a power that sustains it all and they tap into this with trust.
I was struck by the magic of Oneness, the Creator who has given us this absolutely gorgeous planet to enjoy.
As we celebrate the birth of the prophet Christ this year and several other celebrations in various traditions, I pray that we live in a similar spirit as most of nature does.
I send each one a huge dose of gratitude to be a part of my transformative journey, a huge dose of blessings and heartfelt gratitude to my immediate family who are a source of love, care and support.

Luminescence on a Moonless Night: Bioluminescence is a magical natural phenomenon where tiny marine organisms, mainly dinoflagellates, emit flashes of blue light in the water when disturbed, making the sea glow like twinkling stars at night. These microorganisms must be disturbed on a dark moonless light to emit light after which their luminescence is revealed.

It seems to me that the darkness of a moonless night, despair and difficulties are the disturbances so needed for the being to truly transform.

I’d be curious what you think and how might we help each other reveal the luminosity that is part of each one of us.

I imagine a world where we shine like twinkling stars on this planet.

A deep seated sense of gratitude

This time of the year is always very special for my family and me. We usually reflect and ponder over our year with an astute objectivity and offer suggestions to improve upon ourselves.

I have been experiencing a huge and overwhelming sense of heartfelt sincere gratitude towards each one of you for showering me with love, care and blessings. Thank You!

Life could have gone so differently I often reminisce. To life that has been so graciously kind, I offer gratitude. Thank You !

I have learnt to bless each one irrespective of their actions with ardent fervour this year. This has helped me feel a deep sense of bliss and joy that words cannot describe. Thank You!

This Sunday we have a special guest visiting us - Haroon Khalid, an acclaimed writer who is the author of Walking with Nanak, apart from 6 other books. He is also a founder of a nonprofit in Canada. Link in the story. Looking forward to seeing many on this call. Blessings

LOVE

This image took me into meditative spaces this morning over my healthy home made superfood breakfast and a hot cuppa perfectly brewed cardamom ginger tea 😂😂I asked myself what does the word “ love “ mean for me?
The message this caption brought to my mind is “ love overcomes venting expression.”
I tend to vent to my loved ones when I feel unheard, upset, sad or have been hurt. This week taught me lessons in not doing so. Every time I see or think about the word love, I’m going to remind myself to rise above venting and climb up the evolutionary ladder cultivating virtue.

A Broken Ceramic Bowl turns into an AHA Moment 🤩🤩

I picked up a gift left for me by a dear friend after arranging and coordinating complicated logistics. Walking down the stairway upon collection, the bag slipped out of my hands and fell to the ground breaking the gorgeous ceramic bowl in the bag. I instantly recognized that my life is exactly like that.
I take my breaths for granted. I take my health for granted. I take life for granted. It could just all end in an instant.
This is a lesson that I shall be reminding myself for a while from now
Each breath is in service and an offering of gratitude to the power of Oneness. I stay indebted at all times.

A New Path

As I have been preparing this year to celebrate Gurpurab, a festival that I have grown up with excitement equivalent to Christmas celebrations here in the west, I have been in deep contemplative meditation.
Understanding Guru Nanak’s work and message has been transformative for me.
The one powerful lesson that I have learnt is to live in total, unquestioned and unconditional acceptance with the harsh and sweet realities of life.
Having embraced this one nugget of the Guru’s wisdom, there is an inner stillness, peace, and a willingness to life unraveling in the present moment.
I feel incredibly blessed and grateful for the path that has opened up to me.
