SmartVineyard (Szőlőőr) is now going to operate under the name PlantCT™. We decided to change our name from SmartVineyard to PlantCT™ because one of our future aims is to develop our services for other crops and not just for grapes.

PlantCT™ is similar to a CT scanner as in that it monitors the plants' health and makes a diagnosis to provide useful information about production decision-making.

Smartvineyard's (Szőlőőr) page will continue to be active as a point of contact for all those who know and love what we do. However, we will only be actively posting updates on our new page PlantCT. Please follow our new PlantCT™ page and make plants healthier together!

Azért döntöttünk a PlantCT™ névváltoztatás mellett, mert jövőbeli céljaink között szerepel, hogy a szőlőn felül, más mezőgazdasági terményekre is továbbfejlesztjük szolgáltatásainkat.
A PlantCT™, mint egy valódi CT vizsgáló megfigyeli a növény és diagnózist készít egészségi állapotáról, ezáltal hasznos információkat nyújtva a termeléssel kapcsolatos döntéshozatalban.
A SmartVineyard (Szőlőőr) oldalt nem szüntetjük meg, hogy akik ezen a néven ismertek minket, továbbra is megtaláljanak és felvehessék velünk a kapcsolatot.

Plant CT Tudatos gazdálkodás, integrált növényvédelem / Smart farming, integrated pest management

Méhek nélkül a természet harmonikus működése felborulna és számos növény eltűnne. Mégis mit tehetünk a méhek védelmében? Napjainkban a méhpusztulás egyre súlyosabb probléma. A bizonyítottan méhveszélyes növényvédő szereket bevonják vagy használatukat korlátozzák. Az intézkedések általában vegyes fogadtatásúak, mivel nem mindig áll rendelkezésre megfelelő helyettesítő szer, amellyel hasonló hatásfokon megvédhetők az ültetvények és földek. Újabban a neonikotinoidok biztonságos használatával kapcsolatban is kétségek merültek fel, három hatóanyagot már korlátoztak az Európai Unióban. Egy friss kutatás szerint a tiametoxám nikotinhoz hasonló függőséget okoz a méheknél, egy idő után jobban preferálják a tiametoxámmal kezelt táplálékot. Érdemes elgondolkozni azon, hogyan permetezünk: mikor, milyen szerrel és technológiával, hogy kíméljük a méheket.

// 🇬🇧️ Without bees harmonic functioning of nature would be disturbed, and many plants would disappear. But what can we do to protect bees? Nowadays bee decline is an increasingly serious problem. The proven harmful pesticides are banned or their usage are restricted. In a lot of cases the arrangements are divisive, because there aren’t other pesticides, which can replace the banned products, and can protect the fields and plantations against pests and diseases with the same efficiency. Newly there are doubts regarding to the safety of neonicotinoids’ usage, three active substances are already restricted in the European Union. According to a recent study thiamethoxam can cause similar dependence like ni****ne addiction in case of bees. After a period, they rather prefer the feed, which is treated with thiamethoxam. It is worth to consider how we are spraying: when, with what pesticides and what technology, that we can spar the bees. //

A korábbi posztokban olvashattatok a termesztett növényeket megtámadó kártevőkről és kórokozókról. Itt az ideje, hogy mondjuk pár szót a gyomnövényekről. Ezek sokszor ugyanakkora bosszúságot okoznak a gazdáknak, mint más károsítók. Mégis mit tehetünk ellenük? A herbicidek használatát egyre nehezebbé teszi a rezisztens gyompopulációk megjelenése és terjedése, arról nem is beszélve, hogy sok esetben a környezeti terhelést is növeljük a kémiai növényvédőszerekkel. Napjainkban egyre több kutatás folyik a biológiai gyomszabályozás területén, amelynél a gyomnövényeket specifikusan megtámadó élőszervezeteket használnak fel a védekezésre. Az Egyesült Királyságban egy atka, az Aculus crassulae gyomelnyomó képességét vizsgálják a Crassula helmsii vizi gyomnövénnyel szemben. A növény kerti tavak dekoratív dísznövényeként került be az országba és onnan kivadulva egyre nagyobb problémákat okoz. Reményeik szerint az atka a Crassula helmsii terjedését csökkenteni fogja.

// 🇬🇧️ In the previous posts you can read about pests and pathogens, which can attack crops. This is the time to speak about w**ds. These can cause similar annoyance, like other harmful organisms, to the farmers. But what can we do against them? The herbicide usage is more and more complicated due to resistant w**d populations’ appearance and spread, not to mention that in many cases we impact the environment with chemical plant protection products. So nowadays many researches are ongoing in the field of biological w**d control. In the UK, Aculus crassulae mite’s w**d suppressive ability is studied against Crassula helmsii – an aquatic w**d. This plant was introduced to the UK like a decorative garden pond ornamental plant, but it causes increasingly problems due to its invasive character. The researchers hope that the mite can help to suppress the spread of Crassula helmsii.//

European Commission’s largest ICT event started in Lisbon – with SmartVineyard’s participation. Our team not only attends the event but introduces SmartVineyard innovation to ICT and agriculture experts within the Agriculture 4.0 workshop.

SmartVineyard’s booth at the ITU Telecom World 2015. We are honored to be invited to this key IT event and to be given the opportunity of exhibiting with companies like Intel, Huawei or Telekom.

We have just been honored with the prestigious "Agro Innovation Grand Prize" at the Hungarian Parliament for our SmartVineyard technology! 2014 brought us some really precious awards and it seems we got 2015 off to a flying start!

Plant disease diagnostic system gets funding - Horizon 2020 Projects A Hungarian research project that aims to turn microclimatic and organic data into plant disease forecasts to end the overuse of pesticides in agriculture has won funding under Horizon 2020.
