Travelling as a vegan can often bring some challenges. You can't always just walk into any cafe/restaurant, etc, and be able to find something to eat. So here are my top tips to finding that sexy vegan food when you're travelling:

1️⃣ Download & pre save places to go on your trip! I recommend organising places by most recommended. 💡TOP TIP: Check when the restaurant has last been reviewed! This will stop you from going to places that no longer exist/no longer provide a vegan option.

2️⃣ Learn key phrases in the language of the place you are visiting. And also check how they say vegan & learn this. For those languages that might need further clarification, print out a card that explains whether you eat no meat/dairy/fish, etc, to show waiting staff.

3️⃣ Be prepared to make alterations for dishes in certain places. E.g. pizza without cheese. Sometimes, there just isn't any other option!

We have spent all weekend knee deep in a mini house renovation that we've decided to do. But finally, I have 10 mins to sit down and share with you in Budapest. It's a great place to go if holidaying with omnis. A huge menu of vegan/veggie & meat based food.

As vegans, we certainly didn't miss out. We ordered gyozas, sushi, miso soup & a curry each (not pictured).

What course would you pick?

VEGAN LANGOS 🍞

It may not look like much, but it's delicious. Langos is a typical hungarian food that can come with loads of different toppings.

At this place, it was only the plain option that was vegan, so we opted for some fries, too. (The mayonaise is not vegan - forgot to get rid of it before we took the photo).

There is also a hostel & the budapest sign very close 😊

is THE place to get your morning energy & perfect when travelling with non vegan pals.

As there were 10 of us on this trip & only 2 vegans, we wanted to make sure everyone got what they wanted! This place fits the bill.

This is an avacado bagel with vegan cream cheese. 😋

Rebecca here - we've had some major life things crop up the past few weeks. They've completely taken over our life, but everything's starting to slow down. We've not been active on here, and we wanted to acknowledge that.

We're both bere to make this page work. We're passionate about travel and showing how easy vegan travel is.

✨️VEGAN FINE DINING ✨️

Something to know about us... we love our food. So, every now and then, we will splurge on a fine dining experience. Vegan fine dining is not totally accessible yet, but has changed that! Dirt Candy is a fully vegetarian Michelin star restaurant that will adapt its menu for Vegans with no issues. 🌱

1️⃣ BEET: Beet éclair, grapefruit, sicilian pistachio & beet tisane
3️⃣ ONION: Chive pizza, caramelised onions, tamarind & seaweed caviar
5️⃣ RUTABAGA: Rutabaga gnocchi, galangal, coconut & tamarind
6️⃣ SQUASH: Crispy butternut, pumpkin biscuit, kabocha gravy, spaghetti squash slaw
7️⃣ POTATO: Potato mille-feuille, french fry caramel & chocolate malt ice cream

2️⃣ & 4️⃣ were pallete cleansers & I can't quite remember what they were 🫣

This was honestly such an incredible experience & we feel extremely lucky that we had the opportunity to visit this place. It took a bit of saving up and was a birthday treat for Rebecca's 30th 😁

Did you know that this pier originally opened in 1909, AND the original carousel hippodrome from the 1920s is still there. 🤯
