We are continuing the SENtor project! 🙂👍In December, we had meetings, parties, educational activities, and talks with parents at the Jaunuoliu dienos centras.
The aim is to build stronger, closer, and more trusting relationships. 🤝❤👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

As part of the project, we gained new knowledge and skills, and shared our experience on how to help and create support structures for children with special educational needs and their families. 🙂👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👍
Today we discussed the results reached, the challenges, and how to overcome them. Also what could be the next steps in maintaining professional relations with partner countries, exchanging experiences and actively continuing to share information and knowledge. 🙂👍

As part of the SENtor project, we are constantly looking for ways and opportunities to improve our knowledge of parent-child relationships in families when faced with everyday challenges and difficulties, especially for children with special educational needs. 🧐👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👨‍🦽In order to work more closely with parents, we took part in the 4-day "Positive Parenting for Every Day" training programme for professionals working with parents and carers. During the training, we looked at the age ranges of children in order to better understand them; the relationship between parents and children, the problems that arise, and possible solutions.🙂👍
We are currently recruiting groups of parents/caretakers who will attend the training and strengthen their knowledge on positive parenting.

The SENtor project continues. 🤓
During the meeting with the children, we continued the development of the project's Training Manual, where the children presented their opinions on inclusive education.

Our 2-year SENtor mentoring project proved that it is possible for professionals and parents to come together for the benefit of SNI children 🥰 We focus not on problems, but on communication and solutions 😍

Just a few examples from Hungary:

As part of the project, a fun and playful meeting with children was organised on 19 October to discover the best models of inclusion 😊 Children shared their thoughts on what an ideal teacher should be, what they imagine an ideal school to be like, and what an ideal learning experience could look like. 👍📚
After the event, we invited the children to have pizza and have a conversation. 🙂👫
