SUMMA CUM LAUDE

This is a story about excellence and how work and effort pay off! πŸ’«

Our team member Mislav Ivanda completed his master's degree in computer science as the best student of the 22/23 generation at πŸŽ‰
As a commendation, he received the award "SUMMA CUM LAUDE", the highest academic distinction you can earn! πŸ”₯

This might not be so special if Mislav had not been studying and working on the development of GLAMOS solutions for the last 2.5 years at the same time.
In parallel, he (very successfully) performed academic tasks and slowly but thoroughly built up his professional knowledge.

This award won't change Mislav's life because it's the result of what he's already done, but it's a nice reminder that hard work and patience pay off. This is mostly personal satisfaction for all the work, energy and effort invested, but we all have to support and encourage excellence, because it builds our society.
Mutual support always brings great results. ☝

One of the confirmations of excellence that he can attribute to himself also is that together we built the world's best tool in LoRaWAN world. And soon there will be more to show! 😁

Shout-out to our professor Mario Cagalj, who crossed our paths. πŸ’™

MWC 2023 in Barcelona, the world's largest event in connectivity industry, was held 2 weeks ago.

Even if GLAMOS did not directly present products there, it was part of the event.

Netmore (Techtenna by Netmore) had a stand there and Marco Sprenkels, their managing director for BeNeLux, had our GLAMOS Walker. He took some time to make quick indoor mapping to show visitors what LoRaWAN coverage can create gateway installed at their Netmore stand.

Results are great! Created 2D indoor coverage heatmap of Hall 5. πŸ—Ί

But we've put some more effort and created 3D view of hall including all stands! When you check it on Walk App in 3D, you almost feel like you can walk there. 🎲

Elly CÒmpeanu also brought his device on MWC 23 so it was pleasure to see GLAMOS in black and red suits there! 😁

[But, what if...]

People are primarily visual beings and we register all information much easier that way.

Numbers and tables are not inborn to us, but a learned way to transfer information.

That is reason why GLAMOS Walk App has heatmaps (indoor and outdoor) to visualize data about network and LoRaWAN signal quality. We can understand it better with colors. πŸŸ₯🟦🟩🟨

But, what if we add 3rd dimension to that?

Some people (and especially men) find it difficult to distinguish shades of colors. Not sure if that is inborn. 😏

Now Walk App has 3D view of you coverage mapping heatmap! πŸ“Š

3rd dimension, height of column, represents measured LoRaWAN signal strength.
Now you don't need to compare shades of color.
Just compare height of columns and understand better what location has better signal quality. Higher column - better signal - better performance.

Get to know your network better with GLAMOS! πŸ“ˆ

[LoRaWAN World Cup support] πŸ‡πŸ‡·

Today, the eyes of the whole world are pointed on the semi-final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, where our Croatian football team is also playing. We also decided to send some positive energy to our team, some wireless signals, LoRaWAN signals. 😁

Using our GLAMOS Walker, we tested network coverage at 150 locations in the city.
And then in our Walk App we created this heatmap of network coverage, as well as this video/animation of movement. πŸ‡πŸ‡·

The lines represent the link with the gateways, and the color of the hexagons represents the signal strength in that area.

We expect to win today and to see our team in the finals! πŸ‡πŸ‡·

[First in the world - LoRaWAN indoor mapping tool] πŸš€

We are happy to announce the launch of a new feature of the GLAMOS Walk App - INDOOR MAPPING tool! You can now easily create indoor coverage heatmaps and visualize wireless networks in buildings. πŸ’πŸ«πŸ›οΈ

Anyone who has tried to install some wireless sensors in buildings knows how frustrating it can be. 🀬
- You don't know where the signal exists, how good and stable that signal is
- You don't know how many gateways you can reach
- You don't know which location within the room is best to get the best results and the longest battery life
- You don't know if your gateway is installed in the most optimal location

These are just some of the problems all of us are facing during network or sensor deployment.

We've developed an indoor mapping tool - the first tool on the market to solve this problem.

Current lack of knowledge of the network behavior and lack of information from the field results in loss of time (man-hours), money and resources (e.g. unnecessary or improper placement of gateways). With that in mind, and to save you time, we've designed this tool to be as simple as possible.
The steps are simple:
1. Do testing using GLAMOS Walker device πŸ“±
2. Draw floorplan of your building in Walk App 🏒
3. Select the data you want to see on the heatmap πŸ“„
4. Get heatmap and report πŸ“Š

Some of the features:
1. Heatmap of indoor signal quality (image 1) - max/avg/min RSSI
2. Heatmap of the number of gateways reached
3. Visualize and compare signal quality on the graph (image 2) between different indoor locations
4. Comparison table for indoor locations based on 17 parameters
5. Filter data based on spreading factor (SF), antenna, gateway(s)
6. Heatmap of the signal coverage of a specific gateway (image 3 - signal is weak and doesn't cover some indoor positions)
7. Export heatmap as an image or generate PDF report

GLAMOS is the most advanced LoRaWAN testing tool on the market and it is created to help you.
If you are deploying networks or sensors, or you want to test some LoRaWAN network, test different antennas and locations, all you need is - GLAMOS. You don't believe? Try it! πŸ₯°

[NEW FEATURES - FREE FOR EVERYONE]
It was busy summer for our team, but it will enable you to harvest some great results in autumn! πŸ₯³

We want to present you new features in GLAMOS Walk App - Line-of-Sight tool and Distance tool! πŸ”₯ πŸ”₯

- Distance tool will enable you to measure distance between locations where you want to set up sensors and gateways/hotspots. You can also measure length of path for coverage mapping easily.

- Line-of-Sight (LoS) tool is fantastic tool for planning. You can use it for visualization of elevation in your surrounding. You can see is there some hill which will affect your communication. LoS tool is enabling you to adjust LoS line in graph. Change antenna height on source or receiver side and find your best fit.
But to fully support development of your network and push it one step forward, we added - buildings! Buildings are one of key considerations in urban areas because they affect communication a lot. With our LoS tool, you can take that in account. Go to "3D Buildings" layer and zoom until you see 3D buildings in map. Then just use LoS tool and get know your area better! Find distractions avoid it, because signal can't do it yourself.
If you go over graph with mouse (hover), you will see heights values. But also, you can on map find red line with black dot which will show you location which you are pointing with mouse.

Great thing is that these tools are FREE for everyone. You don't need to have our device or pay for app. You can register on our app for free and start using it now! πŸ₯°

[BEST ANTENNA?]
Using GLAMOS Walker to test location using different antennas. On screen you can get list of hotspots that are in range together with RSSI and SNR. That allows you to see live, will Proof-of-Coverage will be valid. You can attach any antenna on device, from 0dBi up to 12dBi.

In this case PoC for lot of hotspots will be invalid based on data we got. This is the most accurate way to test location and antennas - real field testings. Simulator can't predict trees and buildings easily. On this way you can know exactly situation.

Each location is specific, and guessing best location and best antenna is expensive (you are loosing money for later transfer and loosing time = earnings).
