Take a peek at comments from the closing session of our Engaged Communities' Remedial Math and English classes. This programme originated from our quarterly community engagement meetings with residents of communities that neighbour our operations at Buck Hall Essequibo River. Residents had shared that some persons had not been fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to complete their formal secondary school education, and now as parents they were having difficulties assisting their children with their homework.
What began as an attempt to pass on the sustainable skills of a secondary level education through remedial Math and English classes, evolved into a burning desire by these parents and some youths to pursue the programme all the way to participating in the 2018 CSEC examinations. Given the nature of this desire and the commitment shown by the students, AGM Inc. was happy to support this quest, and facilitated the classes and examination fees for the participants, who are currently awaiting their CSEC results.
Sincere congratulations are extended to these deserving adult students, and best wishes to them in their future endeavours.
