The Secret of Contracts & Negotiations

Contracts are all around us. Our first job is initiated by a contract. Our university loan, hire purchase agreement or client invoice contain the basic tenets of a valid contract namely, an offer, acceptance and consideration. These three tenets can create a valid contract when shared by parties legally entitled to enter into a contract, that is, persons above the legal age of majority, and of sound mind. A contract can be between two or more individuals; companies; businesses; an individual and a company or business or organization. In any contract, it is always important to know the terms and conditions that you accept before initiating the tenet of acceptance. Once an offer is given, a contract can be accepted orally or in writing or partially orally and partially in writing. This all depends on the unique circumstances of the contract or arrangements set out by the parties.
