VACANCY: ACCOUNTS CLERK

RESPONSIBILITIES: These include posting entries, verifying and reconciling, processing payments, and/or assisting in preparation of billings and other financial reports.

Follow up on AR collection and allocation of payments

Reconciliation of accounts payables and receivables

Monitoring customer account details for non payments, delayed payments and other irregularities

Maintain accounts receivable customer files

Preparation of Receipts

Investigate and resolve customer queries

Communicating with customers via phone, email, mail or personally

Daily filing of all payment Invoices, Vouchers, and suppliers documents to facilitate easy retrieval and/or reference.

Preparation of payments

Data entry of invoices

Prepare vouchers where necessary.

Prepare cheques for approval.

Release cheques to suppliers.

Perform other related duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

CAT/FIA Certificate / ACCA Level 1/accounting Degree will be an asset

A minimum of Five (5) CXC subjects

A minimum of one (1) years accounting experience in payables and receivables

Computer proficient with accounting packages

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Must have excellent administrative skills

The ability to multitask effectively with minimal supervision

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills and analytical abilities

The ability to prioritize and show initiative

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collect and validate data to determine cost of the business.
- Compile monthly management accounts reports and submit to the Senior Management.
- Conduct variance and trend analyses.
- Update schedules on key performance indicators, stock valuation and prepare relevant graphs.
- Monitor routine expenditure on a weekly, monthly and annual basis and investigate queries in order to control expenditures.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

ACCA Affiliate plus two (2) years’ experience in the Finance field inclusive of budgeting.
