I am respectfully requesting that the relevant authorities urgently look into a disturbing situation that I have been trying to ignore for some time.

I operate a popular food establishment located at Soesdyke Junction, East Bank Demerara. My business operates primarily in the evenings up to midnight and has become a source of livelihood for myself and others, while also providing a valued service to the community.

Recently, members of the police serving my community have been repeatedly interfering with my operations. Customers are being chased away under the claim that they are obstructing the flow of traffic. However, vehicles are regularly parked on both sides of the public road and in front of other vendors in the same area, yet my business appears to be the only one being targeted.

This selective enforcement has negatively affected my business and has created an unfair and hostile operating environment. I find this situation deeply troubling and unacceptable, especially as I have made every effort to operate responsibly and within the law.

I am therefore formally asking that the relevant authorities investigate this matter, clarify the regulations governing mobile vendors in the area, and ensure that all businesses are treated fairly, equally, and without discrimination.

I am willing to cooperate fully with any inquiry and can provide further details if required.
