Our Story
The agency was founded in 1992 by the late David Robert Lynch King A.A., who had been in the field of Management and Marketing for over 30 years.
At its founding, the agency teamed up with what was then one of the leading advertising agencies in Trinidad and Tobago, Aleong & Agostini Ltd. The agency was then known as King, Aleong & Agostini Advertising Limited.
In August 1996 the agency changed its name to King Advertising Limited (KAL) when Aleong & Agostini Advertising Ltd closed their doors.
KAL today continues as a full-service marketing and advertising agency with over 28 years’ experience in the local industry. The agency is now headed by Mrs. Rochelle Peroune, who has years of experience in this field, 25 of them with KAL. Most of our staff have a minimum of 5 plus years’ employment with us, making us proud of the very low employee turnover.

Rochelle Peroune
General Manager
Rochelle brings over 20 years experience in advertising and marketing locally. She joined the agency in 1995. Her responsibilities include the daily administration of the office, development of the Agency’s Media & Marketing capabilities and servicing our present clients. Rochelle also enjoys the challenge of acquiring new accounts and works closely with the Junior Account Executive(s) to ensure that clients receive a bang for their buck.
Part of Rochelle’s qualifications can be accredited to her training in media and creative production, at courses and seminars she attended in Barbados and the USA. In 2002 she also attended a training seminar in Kansas City, USA, which hosted by Sprint, one of the agency’s major accounts at that time.
Gregory Shanks
Art Director
Gregory has been in the field of art, advertising and graphic design since 1980. An old student of Queen’s College, he taught art at his alma mater for a few years in the late seventies. From 1980 until 1990 he worked as senior graphic artist with the now defunct Design & Graphics. He joined this agency in 1992 and is currently the lead person in the creative department.
Gregory has accumulated decades of experience with Apple Computers, the Macintosh OS and graphics-related applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand and CorelDraw.
Gregory enjoys leading the team in our graphic arts pre-press department, equipped with only Macintosh computers that are fully loaded with powerful illustrating, text-handling and photo-editing software. The department is made up of a small team of efficient and creative persons, who can draw from a large archive of royalty-free photographs & images, when needed, to conceptualize and produce well-motivated and successful advertising campaigns.
