BACKGROUND

In 2020, the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security (MoHSSS) observed two international Days that placed the spotlight on Girls and Boys โ€“ International Day of the Girl Child on October 11 and International Menโ€™s Day on November 19. The Young Influencers spent the day participating in the National Consultation on โ€œSocial Media and its Consequential Effects on Childrenโ€ hosted by the Ministry of Human Services and Social Services, focusing on how social media impacts children.

Initiative by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance to ensure that local views and experiences are being heard.
