Welcome to Extra One! We are a group of parents, siblings, caregivers and friends of persons with Down Syndrome (Down's Syndrome).
Our purpose is to advocate for and promote acceptance of persons with Down Syndrome; and support for the people around them. There are so many questions, and no one person has all the the answers; but together we can build a better, more aware community - one special chromosome at a time.

They have different personalities, interests, talents, and goals.
..Just like anyone else.

The President’s FY 2027 budget proposes cuts that would seriously harm people with disabilities and the systems that protect their rights.
The Protection & Advocacy Network exists to prevent abuse, ensure access, and support community living. Funding cuts to our network members would cause real harm to the disability community.
