Here residents will be able to access several services via the internet.

The newly-licensed telecommunications company, Green Gibraltar Inc. and a demonstration of its service capabilities via a test unit at Rockstone Village, Region 11 was commissioned on the 22nd November, 2022.
The launch ceremony was graced by the presence of the Prime Minister, Brigadier (Ret'd) the Honorable Mark Phillps where he reaffirmed the Government's commitment to creating and strengthening partnerships in the field of telecommunications to ensure that people across Guyana are digitally connected.
The telecommunications company will test its internet connectivity for 90 days free of charge in the community of Rockstone where residents will be able to access several services via the internet.
The Prime Minister highlighted in his speech that he is thankful to all the members of the team and the supporting companies for being here and having this demonstration, and working with the people of Rockstone, who are the first beneficiaries of Green Gibraltar Inc. in Guyana.

Green Gibraltar, Inc. is pleased to announce the final assembly of its proprietary remote self-contained telecom unit. The test unit will be deployed in the Hinterlands as part of the ICT Access & E-Services for Hinterland, Poor & Remote Communities Project.
The unit is completely self-contained and solar powered with battery backup. It is able to transmit both cellular/data as well as fixed wireless access signals to the surrounding areas. The unit has been specifically designed for the environment and climate of Guyana.
The Government of Guyana has made connectivity of the hinterlands a key issue. Green Gibraltar, Inc. is proud to provide this test unit and believes it can be a key component in providing connectivity to underserved populations.
