🧘‍♂️ Deep Listening Session – London 🧘‍♂️
This Saturday we return to our spiritual home, for a focused, uninterrupted playback of Ecophony Rinne by Geinoh Yamashirogumi.

Following two powerful sessions at Devon Turnbull’s OJAS Listening Room and Audio Technica’s Bar Neiro in Berlin, we now bring it into a very different kind of sonic temple.

At Beauty & The Beat, the record will be experienced through seven surrounding towers of Klipschorns, driven by immense amplification and fitted specially for this session with Audio-Technica’s flagship moving-coil cartridge.

Doors open 7pm.
The session begins at 7:30pm with a contextual introduction tracing the collective’s origins and the works leading up to Ecophony Rinne, followed by a full, uninterrupted playback in a focused and attentive setting.

After the session, the night continues into Beauty & The Beat’s all-night party (9pm–4am). Your ticket includes entry to the full evening.

Underflow Record Store & Art Gallery, Athens : A Fixed Room in Unstable Time (Part I) How two friends built a listening space that outlasted its moment.

High ceilings, marble floors, bare concrete walls.
A space built by hand, with a clear idea of how sound should live in a room.

Formed during Greece’s fiscal crisis, outside institutions and without a safety net. What began as an ideal record shop became a place for listening, performance, and long-term presence.

Over the years, the space was tested. By time, by loss, and by the question of whether it could continue at all.

This isn’t a celebration piece.
It’s a record of how a place is made and what it takes to continue.

SUNDAY isn’t a club, and that choice shapes everything. Part II looks at how the space actually works: why food anchors the operation, how the sound system was tuned over time, and how a community formed without relying on club economics or constant programming.

This chapter moves past the origin story and into the decisions - the practical, sonic, and social ones - that allow SUNDAY to exist as a listening space that lasts. From acoustic choices to how nights are paced, it’s about building a place that can hold sound, people, and time.
