Barilla and ecoRef Innovative Engineers acquired the Gold Award in 2025 Energy efficiency Awards, Category "Energy conservation" for the design of a high efficiency Ammonia Chiller of 1.4MW to serve the Air conditioning energy demands of Barilla factory in Thiva. We would like to thank Barilla for the their trust that showed to our Greek engineering team to design this high efficiency low charge Ammonia chiller that can reach a COP up to 10. Whith the new design the energy demand for air-conditioning in Barilla premises was reduced by 60% in comparison with the allready existing system.
