Art for the Prevention of Mental Health Problems (MPAS) is a project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Commission aiming to promote the use of art methods in order to prevent mental health problems to vulnerable young people.

Από 27 έως 29 Μαρτίου, το MPAS (Mental Prevention through Artistic Skills) υλοποιεί ένα τριήμερο βιωματικό εκπαιδευτικό εργαστήρι, που θα υλοποιηθεί από την hopeart.

Δεν πρόκειται απλώς για ένα face to face workshop.
Είναι ένας χώρος όπου η τέχνη γίνεται γλώσσα πρόληψης.

Μέσα από κίνηση, αφήγηση, μουσική, εικαστική έκφραση,μέσα από εργαλεία σύνδεσης,ασκήσεις συστημικών αναπαραστάσεων ,τεχνικές performance, διερευνούμε πώς η καλλιτεχνική πράξη μπορεί να ενισχύσει:

• Το αίσθημα του ανήκειν
• Την έννοια της ταυτότητας
• Την συνειδητοποίηση της προσωπικής αποστολής του καθενός

Το MPAS αναπτύχθηκε μέσα από τη συνεργασία οργανισμών από την Ισπανία (Proyecto Nagual), τη Βουλγαρία (APB), την Ιταλία (Omphalos) και την Ελλάδα (Hopeart), δημιουργώντας ένα ευρωπαϊκό πεδίο συνάντησης τέχνης και πρόληψης ψυχικής υγείας.

CIAO A TUTTI!

Yesterday, in Torino, we held the second day of the second transnational meeting of the MPAS project.

The day was dedicated to perfecting and shaping the Face to Face Workshops that will be implemented in Spain 🇪🇸, Italy 🇮🇹 and Greece 🇬🇷.
We worked in depth on formats, methodologies and artistic practices focused on the prevention of mental health challenges through creativity, participation and collective care.

👉 If you are an artist or creative professional interested in mental health issues prevention, stay very attentive.
Open calls for Spain 🇪🇸 and Greece 🇬🇷 will be launched soon.

During these days, we are also carrying out the Face to Face Workshop in Italy 🇮🇹 at .push a space that makes it possible for this workshop to take place in the best possible conditions, supporting care, creativity and meaningful exchange.
We would also like to warmly thank for hosting us during our second day of the meeting. A cultural space full of enthusiasm and vision, and a project we are sure will continue to grow and thrive.

BUONGIORNO A TUTTI!

We’re writing you from Torino, where all the partners of the MPAS project have come together for our second transnational project meeting.
🇪🇸 🇬🇷 and APB 🇧🇬 are spending these days sharing work, dialogue and meaningful connection.

Yesterday marked our first day together — a moment to pause, look back at the path we’ve already walked, and shape the next steps of this shared journey, aligning visions, intentions and upcoming actions.

MPAS is a project co-funded by Creative Europe 🇪🇺 focused on the prevention of mental health challenges among vulnerable young adults in Italy 🇮🇹, Spain 🇪🇸 and Greece 🇬🇷. Through artistic, participatory and community-based practices, we aim to nurture spaces of care, expression and resilience.

Today we move into the second day of the meeting, diving deeper into the project and the road ahead.

Within the Mental Prevention Artistic Skills program, Hope Art visited the Theatre Education space of Raschmie Soukouli — director, actress & painter.We thank her for her availability, ideas, and valuable feedback on our Toolkit for artists using art as prevention and healing. 💜

From November 2024 to November 2026, MPAS highlights the crucial role of art in preventing mental health issues among vulnerable young adults by addressing their disconnection from themselves, others, and their environment.
