Mazí Housing provides safe homes in Athens for young men starting over — often alone, often without a safety net. Since 2020, we’ve supported 134 residents not only with housing, but also legal support, healthcare, education, and building community.

The £500 each runner raises keeps that work going.

"In the asylum system in Greece, as elsewhere, men transition from a 17-year-old 'vulnerable boy' to an 18-year-old 'threatening man' on their 18th birthday. This means: no housing, few support services and a dogged perception — from everyone, even those administering humanitarian support — that 'he'll be fine on the street for a bit, he's a man.'

In 490 BC, a Greek soldier ran 42.2km from Marathon to Athens to deliver news of victory.

On November 8th, 73,000 people will be running the same route.

Per tradition, we’re building a team to run the 2026 Athens Marathon (or 10k!) and raise funds for Mazí Housing.
