A dialogue between fashion and art unfolds in Athens.

At / Pireos 138, “WHAT YOU WEAR IS WHAT YOU ARE” brings together Greek and international artists and designers, exploring the evolving language of dress within contemporary culture.

On view until May 24, 2026, the exhibition is anchored by a poignant tribute to Sofia Kokosalaki — the Rethymno-born designer whose work shaped a global vision of modern Greek identity.

Featuring 24 of her garments, drawn largely from private collections, the tribute reflects both her legacy and lasting influence.

Presented in collaboration with the .gr and the Municipality of Rethymno, with the support of the and .

We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work closely with for the exhibition “Rewoven – Memory Woven Anew” on Naxos on February 14th.

The event, centered around a 19th-century bridal bodice as a unique family heirloom, brought together seven talented visual artists who presented their artworks and reflected on cultural memory, local history, and the island’s landscape, alongside a stimulating discussion on the preservation and evolution of tradition in contemporary design.

It was inspiring to see how this initiative, led by opened a meaningful dialogue about memory as a living source of reflection and creativity!

Located in the rural valley of Merichas, on Kythnos, ’s summer house reinterprets the island’s vernacular kalyva. Three modest stone structures, originally built in the late 19th century using dry-stone walling, now form a compact ecosystem of living — thoughtfully restored and transformed into a beautiful, authentic space.

ANAKTAE’s approach goes beyond reconstruction. It is an act of quiet listening — to the land, the materials, and the memory embedded in the space. The intervention is minimal, almost invisible. Nothing is added without need. Nothing is restored without purpose.

Off the grid, life here returns to essentials: water drawn from the well, electricity for a single fridge, and daily rhythms guided by the sun. No screens, no signals, only silence. The house and land form a self-contained world, a soft bubble of stillness against the acceleration of everyday life.
