The gBt firm greenBuilding technologies in collaboration with architect and energy consultant Lila Yiamopoulou, has gained important credentials within a diversity of building projects made up of wood. The dwellings are made of exclusively certified wood from sustainable forestry and harvested at just the right time. A variety of solid wooden floors, panelling, timber beams, made of tight-grained Subalpine firs & spruces, they all guarantee long-lasting timber constructions.All about the Envelope.
The wooden constructions that we build offer an optimal behaviour in the external climate conditions. They have an outstanding heat storage capacity and therefore they cool off very slowly. During summer, the solar heat penetrates very slowly, from the outside to the interior, hence the dwellings saty pleasantly cool in summer.
The thermal insulation is certified as well as the airtightness, after a Blow-door audit.
Fire & Earthquake Safety.

These wooden contructions provide 3 to 5 times fire safety than conventional, such as concrete/bricks dwellings.
In terms of structural analysis, the wooden constructions that we design & build demonstrate an outstanding flexibility which contribute to the dwellings an exemplary durability, homogeneity and safety.
