A comprehensive landscape intervention in the north area of Thessaloniki, designed as a dialogue between Mediterranean ecology and Japanese garden principles.
The project is structured around the idea of composed naturalism: a planting strategy that embraces the spontaneity of Mediterranean flora while integrating the clarity, balance, and spatial discipline characteristic of Japanese landscapes.
The layout organizes the site into fluid sequences of movement, where pathways, changes in elevation, and transitions between open and densely planted areas guide the visitor through a series of experiential zones. Microtopographies, textural layering, and calibrated planting densities create depth and visual rhythm, ensuring that every viewpoint offers a distinct spatial narrative.
Mediterranean species — including evergreen shrubs, drought-tolerant grasses, and seasonal perennials — are arranged to mimic natural plant communities, enhancing ecological performance and long-term resilience. Within this framework, Japanese influences appear in the form of structured silhouettes, controlled voids, and intentional plant groupings that evoke a sense of calm precision without disrupting the regional character of the site.
The result is a hybrid garden typology: immersive, sustainable, and site-responsive, where Mediterranean biodiversity is elevated through the subtle, contemplative aesthetic of Japanese design logic.
A landscape that evolves seasonally, functions ecologically, and supports a refined, slow-paced outdoor living experience.

One of our big scale projects, a landscape intervention designed to integrate a large-scale mountain residence into the natural topography of Arachova.
The project organizes the steep terrain through a system of terraced dry-stone retaining walls, creating structural stability while restoring the site’s natural slope logic. A winding access road follows the landform’s curvature, ensuring smooth gradients and a continuous visual dialogue with the surrounding fir forest.
At the base of the site, an artificial lake functions as both a focal point and an ecological micro-habitat, supported by native planting, riparian species, and controlled water-edge transitions. Timber decks and low-impact pathways allow visitors to engage with the landscape without disturbing the site’s hydrology or vegetation layers.
Planting zones are arranged to reflect the mountain’s native ecology—mixes of conifers, perennial understory species, and aromatic shrubs—enhancing biodiversity and seasonal texture. Overall, the design reconnects built form and forest environment through a resilient, site-specific landscape strategy that elevates the experience of mountain living.

Our landscape design for the new era of the hotel is rooted in the dialogue between nature, heritage, and contemporary hospitality.
The project embraces the natural topography, integrating Mediterranean plant communities and resilient species that enhance biodiversity while ensuring seasonal interest and low water demand.
Structured layers of planting — from aromatic groundcovers to ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, and vertical accents of cypress and olive — create rhythm and texture throughout the site. Carefully designed pathways and gathering spaces invite guests to immerse themselves in an authentic Mediterranean experience, where natural beauty becomes part of everyday hospitality.
The landscape is not conceived as decoration, but as a living system:
🌿 Supporting the local ecosystem
🌿 Framing views and architectural lines
🌿 Offering moments of intimacy and openness
Through this approach, the hotel grounds evolve into more than a garden: they become a seamless extension of the island’s landscape, reflecting both ecological responsibility and timeless elegance.
