Honeymooning in Greece with my love Mrs. Sophia Davis is a dream come true! This is my first time across the Atlantic and the rich history and culture of the city of Athens has been such a true joy to experience. Seeing things that were built before Christ Himself was alive is awe inspiring and I can’t wait to see more with my best friend and wife by my side! Life is such a grand adventure if you make it one!

This last week was one full of automotive adventure and lots of shenanigans! My dad and I decided to drive what we tout as the “World’s worst running and driving fastback Mustang” (AKA The Trashback) over 1,200 miles up to Indy and back for the first day of HOT ROD Power Tour as well as to the cruise in on the way. It may not have been a very reasonable idea, but man was it fun to see everyone and to cruise such a clapped out hero car down the highways of this great country!

Upon returning I promptly hopped in the El Camino for another foolhardy adventure joining in to celebrate with the legendary , , , and .thoman for their birthday extravaganza visiting both the and the as well as thrashing our cars around one of my favorite tracks ! I absolutely love that group of scoff-lawing lunatics!

I enjoy the cars so much, but it will always be the people met, friendships formed, and memories made with them that mean the most! My encouragement to everyone is to take that leap of faith and go on an adventure in your car (whatever it may be), and start checking those bucket list items off while you still can! You won’t regret it!

One month ago today I married the love of my life on the most perfect day at Burns Bluff, and the 30 days since have been so profoundly impactful in my life beyond what I ever thought possible. I have learned so much about life and love from Sophia over the last three years together, but the way that marrying her and promising my life to her for as long as I have breath in my lungs has changed me as a man is something that is hard to describe. I feel like I have a better understanding of the immeasurable way God loves us based on the way I love this woman and have devoted my life to serving her. She makes me a better version of myself simply by being who she is, and I could not think of a better human to have by my side as we chase after what He has planned for us. I am so very honored to call you my wife and to be your husband. Thank you for loving me so well and for everything you do every day Sophia, my forever bride!

Exactly a year ago I had to bury the best dog I’ve ever met, and while I still miss him every day I’m still so thankful that I got to be there by his side through life. I knew it would be a while before I was ready to replace Moby, but just about two weeks ago I said I thought I might be ready for another dog. I knew that I was going to be super picky about him fitting in with my life as well as Moby did, and I have always believed in the random dog distribution system as a means of finding the right one. Little did I know that a dog that will definitely give Moby a run for his money would follow me over a mile back to the house on my ruck this week. He is an absolute lunatic that is so full of energy I don’t know how to fully handle it all, extremely loyal and devoted to such a degree that we really should have named him Velcro, and an absolute sweetie who lives for cuddles and attention — but most of all he reminds me of a younger Moby in so many ways that it’s honestly a little unsettling. I found Moby as a full grown stray roughly the same age as this fella, and I didn’t choose either of them; they absolutely chose me. After trying everything we could to see if he had a home somewhere this week, we’ve decided to name him Wiley, both for his demeanor and for his resemblance to a coyote, thus making him officially our dog. I don’t really believe in coincidence; so I truly believe God knew a new pup would help fill my already full heart so he sent him my way. Fortunately my new bride wanted a dog as well and already loves him too 🥰 She’s now got two strays in the house to take care of and love on so she’s definitely got her hands full! Let’s give a big welcome to Wiley and a tip of the cap to Moby who paved the way for him. Here’s to a lifetime of adventures together my friend!

We might not have gotten to race yesterday due to water coming up on the track from all the rain this week, but we were still able to have a great time completing the route for the Street Car Challenge here in Rockingham this weekend! The Javelin performed flawlessly on the street and we were able to snag a photo with the legendary at the second checkpoint as talked about his car. Good times, but we’re ready to race today! And a shoutout to for snagging some photos of us throughout the day as well!

Time for some racing this weekend with Sick The Magazine up in Rockingham, NC. Let’s see what the javelin can do at the Sick Street Car Challenge!

As great as the Javelin looks in photos, this might be the coolest shot I’ve ever taken of it. Laying on the shop floor at 2:00AM pondering the ridiculous life decisions that led to owning this racecar in and perhaps foolishly converting it to drive on the street is one of life’s stranger moments. Good times! Hope to see some of y’all out at Sick at the Rock in Rockingham, NC this weekend where we’ll be running the car in the “Street Car” Challenge!

Had the opportunity to be the co-driver for my buddy .classicperformance at the Southeast Street ‘N Yeet out in the Carolinas this past week with his nitrous huffing Camaro, and man was it a blast! I want to give huge props to for putting on such a great event with the help of his friends. The car ran in the 5.70s (1/8th mile) at every track putting us in the top 8 of a very competitive DYO class, and got a new PB on the final day when it dipped into the 5.60s with a 1.24 60’ time! David’s car performed flawlessly other than killing one fuel pump on the drive, and we had a great time with the fantastic group of racers who are all crazy enough to live that drag and drive life!
