☕ Enjoy your coffee at a cafe floating above the springs.
🚶♀️ Walk through shaded paths or- even better- take a small boat ride across the lake.
🍷 Then head just a few kilometers out of town to visit one of Drama’s renowned wineries.

Retsina – A Wine by Tradition 🇬🇷
A taste steeped in centuries of Greek heritage…
👉 Retsina is more than just a wine!
it’s a ''Protected Traditional Appellation'' officially recognized by the EU, and deeply rooted in ancient Greek winemaking.
👉 What makes it unique?
During fermentation a small amount of natural pine resin is added. Originally used in antiquity to seal amphorae and preserve wine, the resin now gives Retsina its distinctive herbal and refreshing 'piney' aroma.
👉 What to expect? Retsina tasting notes:
Dry, crisp, with hints of mastic & lemon, herbs like rosemary, and of course, PINE!!! A perfect match for Greek simple meze like grilled fish, small fish marinated in citruses, lamb with herbs & vine leaves.
❗️Retsina can only be produced in Greece under strict traditional methods.
Once a wine of necessity, now a symbol of identity.
Modern Retsinas are refined, fresh, and proudly carry the soul of Greek tradition into the glass.
