Ekelon’s twenty years of experience in the recording industry has always left him unsatisfied. Being a record producer and sound engineer in Greece he struggled to find the right setups for his productions. A place designed to the music aesthetic standards he acquired over the years, combining the best of digital and analogue technology to produce a sound that is warm and pleasing - almost in an
old school way - far from the over-compressed madness of our days. Mixing:
Perhaps the most important step in the production process, mixing in The Cave combines the best of analogue and digital technology. Different projects are treated in different ways depending on the desired outcome but the main focus here is to achieve a warm and musical sound. Many projects that are created “in the box” will benefit immensely from the analogue desk and the use of high end analogue mastering gear in the mixing process. Mastering:
Having extended experience in mixing and producing records, Ekelon approaches mastering from the artist’s and engineer’s perspective and always aims for a result pleasing to both his and the musician’s ears. Where most mastering engineers rush their work through presets, Ekelon likes to take his time, enjoy the songs and his work on them. Post Production:
Ekelon’s post production experience goes back a long way, having spend his formative years in some of Greece’s top post production suites. Over the years he has developed a database of experienced actors and musicians that could cover a wide range of productions.
