"THIASEIA" is a group of artists devoted to the revival, re-creation and performance of ancient Hellenic music, song and dance, founded in the summer of 2022. The group performs unique surviving ancient melodies, as well as ancient poetry set to melody according to its metre and accentuation, following the Classical Attic pronunciation and prosody, and accompanied by reconstructions of ancient mus
Excerpts from our live performance at the archaeological museum of Tarquinia, Italy, July 13, for Euterpe school of ArcheoMusic 2025, as part of the Paesaggi dell'arte festival. We were happy to perform surviving ancient Greek music, some of our own melodizations of ancient poetry, and our own original music and song.
