A rare Hendrix moment — acoustic, raw, and full of soul ��
There are only two known videos of Hendrix playing an acoustic guitar — one of them includes a short, spontaneous take of “Hound Dog.”
It was filmed in a private setting — most likely Hendrix’s London flat in the late ’60s — casually jamming for friends, not on stage.
He’s playing his Epiphone FT79 acoustic, a guitar he used for quiet sessions at home when he didn’t want to disturb the neighbors.
The take is raw and imperfect — he forgets lyrics, laughs, and keeps playing. It’s a glimpse of Hendrix relaxed, unfiltered, and human.
