It’s been an eventful collaboration with my dear friend  It’s been lots of ups and downs to create this series along with her beautiful daughter Dana. This series is now on view at  as part of 

‘If you knew it, why didn’t you do something about it?’ was first exhibited at Erika Deák Gallery in 2024.

The piece confronts systems of silence and the tension between knowing and acting.

Ellada 2.0

I often find myself caught in contradiction here in Greece. Am I part of the contribution—or part of the erosion? Probably both. But isn’t that true for the locals, too? No one’s clean right? But I’m not here to talk politics.
When I first moved to Kypseli, people warned me that it is a dangerous place, no decent cafes to work from. .athens was one of the first. It became a kind of community hub for me ever since. They are Greeks, sure, but somehow I feel they always share a similar contradictive position as I do.
What matters to me though: this cafe always made room for a weirdo, an intruder like me. Offered me a warm welcome. So it’s my turn to give back, in the creative way I can. To provide a warm environment for other lovely weirdos to feel welcome. Seems like the least I can do

“HIN’s ELLADA 2.0 confronts the satirical yet sobering current state of contemporary Greece in a world that constantly reinvents itself through the commodification of culture and identity.

This exhibition navigates the glamorous world of gentrification, neoliberal absurdities, and a juxtaposition of traditional and globalized trends.

Drawing from Greek culture and stereotypes, as well as historical narratives and parables, HIN’s multimedia installation features neon works, embroideries, and ceramics, standing alongside papier-mâché sculptures, oversized familiar objects, and a live performance. It creates a disorienting, immersive, and whimsical distraction, inviting the viewer into some critical thinking.

Join us in the new antiquity, where hipsters will “make ELLADA great again.”
